Poor blade tolerance
I bought these specifically for cutting fiber optics but they perform very poorly at the task. They cut the glass portion just fine but will not cut the Kevlar reinforcement fibers without several cutting attempts. The tolerance for the blade gap is too wide and it ends up shoving all the Kevlar fibers down between the blades instead of cutting them. Attempting to tighten the adjustment nut just results in the spring no longer working while still not being able to cut.

    Grip upgraded!
I recently viewed the Wiss CW7T online and noticed it had an improved grip over the older W7T. The W7T is a great light/medium duty utility shear, but the hard plastic handles can be slippery at times. The newer CW7T has added rubberized texture grip to the handles and offers better control. I use these for cutting thin plastics, leather, nylon fabrics and such in small volume. Good to go so far!!

      Bad spring
I have bought these for workers at my company. The use them all day to cut wire. They all have failed after about 3-4 weeks of continuous use. They are the best while the spring lasts. I would give them 5 stars. But as soon as the spring breaks they are worthless.

          Good cutters
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Good pair of cutters. I am an electrician so I cut through multiple materials per day including mule tape, string, and wire. Ive put these through the ringer the past couple months and the only thing that put a chip on the blade was solid 10 gauge wire. Would recommend.

            More than just normal shears!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had these shears for a few weeks now and have to say I'm super impressed. I've never really really liked any scissors/shears because they just are ok... but these made me love them. I have cut up quite a few boxes with these and had zero resistance from the box, and I've tested them on and old, dead power cord. So far nothing I've tried to cut has been any match!! These utility shears will now be my go to scissors and will also replace my basic wire snips for any and all wire cutting since the cut is smoother and cleaner. The grips are nice and comfy to use with no hotspots in my hands with heavy cutting and the lock close feature is smooth and easy to operate. The only tiny ding is that fully open they are super wide for my medium/large hand.

              A Very Solid Product
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Received this a couple of days ago but already had a chance to put it to good use. I used it to cut several nylon electrical zip ties of various sizes. Much better than using standard diagonal cutters that just mash the zip tie instead of actually cutting them. The tapered nose makes it easy to trim very closely. The hinge pivot point is very solid and rigid which prevents flexing when cutting very thick materials. The micro serrations on the cutting edge helps make the edge take a bite, rather than pushing the material out of the shears. They were precise enough to trim a fingernail that I splintered. I also washed them up and used them to cut the joints in a whole chicken. They were perfect kitchen shears. I have some similar shears by Fiskars, but I like these much better. The handle lock is positive and they don't spring open and poke anything ( including fingers) with the sharp points and edge when reaching into a toolbox or pouch. The Fiskars have a leak useless lock compared to these. The Fiskars also do not have the micro serrated cutting edges. I think these would be a great tool for Emergency Medical Techs or Fire Rescue to cut seatbelts or clothing in a vehicle crash response. The only minor comment I have about a potential improvement, would be the addition of a hole for a retention lanyard or to hanger on a pegboard.

I needed a pair of utility scissors for multiple uses in my shed and these proved to be perfect in several ways: - great handfeel - the ergonomics feel right, very comfortable - sturdy - these are stronger than "inside" scissors, and great for cutting cardboard, plastic, and even light wood - serrated blade - one of the two blades is serrated, which helps hold round pieces from slipping while cutting I'm not sure there's anything else I would have wanted in utility scissors - I'm very happy with these.

Not made for cutting banding iron
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Received this item 2 days ago, they are sharp enough to cut hair, paper, and cloth. Cutters cut through a copper PEX ring with a bit of effort on my part. The only downfall was trying to cut banding iron... it cut well, but the cutting blades took some glinting and the slightest roll on one edge. The cutters perform with a slight snag, but is a still very sharp cutting tool

These are sharp, have a nice comfortable grip, cut nicely, and seem likely to hold up in the long-term. Always great to purchase items made in the USA, and these fit the bill. Lifetime warranty is another great feature. Choosing tools that will last a lifetime is a important goal of mine, so these shears have many features that will fit that priority.

Highly recommend this utility shear! It’s very sharp and make it so easy to cut through stuff. I have used it to cut paper, thick plastic band, random stuff, and it easily got the job done. It is the best shear I have ever used. I believe it is very sturdy in terms build quality. When I got it out of the package, I accidentally dropped it. The drop only had a minor scratch to the tip of the sheers, nothing major happened. This is now my go-to shear!

I do some auto retrimming on my project car. So I really needed a good pair of heavy duty scissors. The hit the spot. They are very sharp and comfortable to use. They are right handed though. I was able to slice through the new vinyl like a hot knife through butter. They have those finely serrated blades which grip as they cut and draw the vinyl through. Loved using them.

This utility shear is well made and easy to use. The spring action on the handle makes cutting easy. This also is comfortable to use right handed and left handed. I have used it to trim small limb growth on shrubs and cut flower stems. I tested on cutting a small electrical wire and it cut perfectly. The label states to not cut metal, but I'm not sure if this includes electrical wiring or cable.

This is a well made utility shear. It has a good weight and feel in the hand. It also is easily used in both left and right hands. It has a smooth cutting action and the lock on the handle opens and closes easily. I have used these for trimmimg small growth and flowers in the yard. I also tested it on cutting light weight electrical wiring and it cut easily. The label states not for cutting metal, but I'm sure for a lightweight metal it would work fine.

I think this compact utility shear by Crescent Wiss are pretty great. I've used them on landscape work cutting twine and flowers. I've cut thin metal about equal ro flashing very easily. I tried cutting things with my left hand and this shear was very comfortable in that hand as well. It s made in China but says designed, engineered and tested in the U.S.A. I would get this product again.

These Wiss 7” utility shears are a great must have, my wife does crafts and came in just in time for her Halloween craft making. They are sharp and has a nice lock on side to keep them in closed position, very nice and comfortable handle so when cutting it doesn’t hurt or dig into your hand. My wife bought some plastic Sunflower flowers to add on her projects, with ease she was able to cut threw the plastic and small metal rod inside by herself without my help. I would definitely recommend the Wiss 7” shears to anyone.

The Wiss 10 in. HD Tradesmen Shop Shears are so strong and sturdy! These are not your average scissors!! Definitely heavy duty. The 2-Ring Full Metal Body Scissor has steel blades that go all the way through the handles for extra strength and will not break. These blades have a titanium coating that is 3 times harder than steel for extra-durability and a longer blade life. They have an adjustable pivot and ergonomic ring design to provide a comfortable grip and they easily cut paper too. These are great for your shop!!

Oh man, if you don't think you can love a pair of scissors than try these and thank me later! I have cut through regular things like butcher paper, but I have also cut through 1/16" mat-board, wooden popsicle sticks and rubber sheeting. These sheers handle anything I throw at them and more! I love that the blades have micro serrations giving them a good grip with anything you are cutting. My favorite part aside from how well they cut is the handles, there is nothing worse to me than cutting for an hour and scissor handles digging into your hands, these scissors are extremely comfortable even when applying a lot of pressure. Just make sure to get them specific to your hand preference (left handed vs. right handed). I loved them so much I made a holster for them in my shop for easy access!

I never thought one would need shears like these. I WAS WRONG! They make quick work out of cutting just about anything. I had the opportunity to try them out on both artificial grass and 40 lb asphalt underlayment and the shears kept cutting and cutting without missing a beat. I am a true XL glove wearer and these shears fit perfectly in my hand. I like that they are made for either right or left handed people so you get the correct grip needed to cut tough projects. The blades are full length tangs so that you have the confidence to cut the thickest materials.

These 7 inch shears are nice. I needed something small to cut my plants back. The pictures show my tomatoe plants. Did a good job though I had to put a touch of presure to cut through. They seem kind of sticky when opening and closing, this was why I put a four star. They do need cleanig off often. They have the bolt, so it can be sharpened easily. They are above a medium grade shears

The WISS 7 IN. UTILITY SHEAR is a great addition to any tool bag. Although the shear is small it cuts through all the items which I have used it on so far. (paper, cardboard, leather, & plastic). you can see from some of the pictures which I have uploaded, the shears will fit perfect in anyone's hand. The rubber grip also allows me to use the shears in the kitchen while cooking. I have used them to cut through seafood with ease!

I use the Wiss Utility shear mainly for landscaping, the stainless steel blades easily cut through invasive blackberry bushes and there roots in my backyard. I love having more control with these shears versus a pair of bypass loppers. I have carpel tunnel in my right hand and they’re reduce the fatigue I sometimes get when using other tools. It’s convenient to store the shears and they’re small enough to put in my pocket.

These Wiss brand shears are amazing! They are proudly made in the U.S.A. They have a substantial feel in my hand when they are in the locked position. However, when I released the lock the loaded spring opened so far that I could barely reach the 2nd handle even with my long fingers. Also, it would be nice if they were able to hang up on our workshop pegboard. They do fit well in my husband's hand and he used the shears with ease. They easily cut through some flashing. The serrated blade kept the flashing from moving and sliding as he cut. They are definitely durable in our short time of using them. Can be used for outdoor work or small projects at home. They deserve 5 stars but due to not being able to hang them properly and the spring load opens too far for my hand, I had to give it a 4 star review.

This is my review of the Wiss CW7T utility shears. I have been using these for a few weeks for landscaping. I am not very pleased with the design and performance of them. The grips are not padded making them very uncomfortable to use. When they are fully open it is difficult to grip them. The titanium coated blades tend to build up quickly with sap and get stuck. I personally would not recommend them.

We needed a new pair of trimmers for the fall cleanup. Decided on the Wiss utility shears. These utility shears will cut through just about anything. With titanium coated stainless steel. They will cut through materials like it was butter. Serrated bottom blade and a nice solid handle. The handle gives you nice leverage when cutting too. A spring loaded design keeps the shears open for easier accurate cutting. And Wiss also designed these for left or right handed cutting. And also lifetime warranty too. And one other thing Wiss is Crescent tool company which means quality tools. So if your shears need replacing consider this quality handtool. It's a keeeper!!

I never thought I’d find a set of shears so comfortable and strong but these certainly fit the bill. They arrived in perfect shape and the Uniquely designed packaging allowed me to fit my hand in them and open and close them to get a good feel for them even before removing them from the packaging. These are the first shears I have ever owned that fit all my fingers in the handle nicely and were comfortable as well. This allows greater control and strength in cutting. While these are not made to cut metal, they are very strong and cut a variety of materials I tried them on nicely. Asphalt roof shingles, vinyl soffit material, plastic packaging from a socket set, etc. These shears are very strong and sharp and and are my new go to for cutting. I expect a long life from them and recommend you give them a try.

These Wiss 10 inch HD Tradesmen Shears Scissors are sharp. Scissors are titanium strong shears. Wiss 10 inch shears has long blades and large holes for hands. The titanium shears are smooth cutting. The Wiss 10 inch shears cut easily thru plastic garden nursery pots. I am using mostly when gardening. Cuts vinyl, plastic. Not for metal. When regular scissors are not strong or big enough these Wiss Titanium do the job. Work horse class of scissors! Recommend.

I've always had trouble cutting down cardboard boxes to recycle. Normal scissors just didn't do the job, I would end up with a sore hand and wasted time. When using these Wiss Shop Shears, I can cut down boxes without any problems and in a short amount of time. We've always kept a pair of scissors in the garage, but so many times you need something heavier. These scissors fit the bill. I also use them in my sewing room to cut heavy vinyl for making handbags. When cutting chipboard and cork, these heavy duty scissors passed with flying colors. They are about 10" long with a comfortable grip and makes a clean cut. I recommend them.
