Had Subcontractor from Home Depot install Allure flooring that looked like slate tile in kitchen, bathrooms, and laundry room several years ago and was pleased with the look and durability of the product. When Wife wanted to get rid of carpet this year, the first thing that came to my mind was Allure flooring. Wife wanted to get Pergo wood floors and wanted to have subcontractor from Lowe's install - was quoted a price of around $3,500 for 800 sq ft. I told my Wife I would rather do it myself with Allure flooring. My Wife was apprehensive that I would not be able to do it myself, but I assured her that I could. Watched some videos on YouTube of people installing it and I knew I could do it. Got a Black Friday sale at Home Depot for some Cherry colored wood looking Allure plank flooring and installed it by myself in 3 days for around $1,100 - that was including quarter round $120 and T-piece molding for transitions to other flooring. Looks great and we love it. Looks like real wood, but more durable.

This trim matches the floor perfect. Couldn't get the metal track in so just glued it to the floor! It's holding just fine. The cut ends are white so if they are exposed it's quite noticeable. I touched up the ends with a sharpie. I wish they sold the trim in store as it's a real pain to order online and wait 2-3 weeks.

Purchased this as a replacement for my flooring since the exact match is discontinued. It wasn’t exact of course but looked close enough in finish to work. Comes with screws and anchors to apply it to the floor. Looks great and glad I purchased this. I highly recommend it.

The molding came in much sooner than expected. The molding color matched very well with the flooring I purchased. It was fairly easy to install. The only odd thing about the molding is that it creeks when you walk on it. Maybe I should have glued it to the flooring instead of using the Tee track

This product works very well. It is flexible and forgiving enough. The laminate particleboard ones are TOTAL GARBAGE. Don’t waste your money!

The color is a perfect match for the cherry Allure flooring. The molding performs as expected. It gave a nice finished look to the separate rooms and flooring patterns. This was installed this week but I still expect it to wear well as the vinyl flooring does.

The product was easy to install and matched the floor perfectly. Very satisfied with this product.

Bought three of these T-moldings for transitions for six doors. They work well and look exactly like the flooring. Only minor complaint I have is that each 72' piece comes with only four screws, I wanted to use at least four screws for each transition so had to go to the hardware store for more. Also, it took quite awhile to get the moldings, next time I'll order them as soon as I get my flooring.

While this was my first attempt at a large-scale flooring update, it went well. Moving furniture around was really the trying part of the installation. With a tough finish, the Allure flooring also resists water, a very important factor for us. We keep a dog inside. He rarely urinates on the floor, but it does happen if we are gone for too many hours. A wood-based floor would absorb the fluid and swell, an outcome we cannot allow.

The T mold fit perfectly to join the allure planks together

Simple to install product (over wood base), but does not include hardware to anchor in concrete. I may use a high-tech glue. The molding is wrapped in what seems to be a heavy and reasonably durable veneer. Time will tell how it will hold up to daily foot traffic. BIG disappointment … product is stated to be 72” in length. I anticipated one narrow band-saw cut yielding two sections very near 36” each … NOT so! The actual length is 71 ½” which would leave at least 1/8” gap on each end. The data label (which someone made the poor choice to glue directly onto the finished surface) states 72” (180 cm). Do the math: 72” = 182.88 cm … 180 cm = 70.87”. At $20 / stick, I would have expected a full 72” and labeling done by someone who actually understands simple math conversions. A less aggressive label glue would save a lot of cleaning. Also, if you intend to expose the edge of the molding, there is nothing in the kit to conceal the light-colored edge of the composite base material. You will need to get creative with something such as caulking and stain.
