It took me a loooong time to finally decide to spend the money on this step can. First of all, it looks beautiful! Very slick and stylish it doesnt even look like a garbage can! Very glad to have finally purchased this.

Spending a little extra for higher quality was worth it. The trash can is well made and the stepper is better than any trash can I have owned. Plus it is very smart looking.

I actually purchased two of the 55L kitchen trash cans, one for me and one for my sister's birthday. We both love them, can't believe how nice they look and work. We both feel really special owning them. Thank you for building something so nice.

I wish we purchased this trash can before all the others we tried out. The size is perfect and the liner pocket is so convenient. We should have known better to stick to this brand since we have other SimpleHuman products in our home!

So worth the price. We went from 3 garbage bags a week to one because of the design. Saves money and the environment. Much easier to change bags and time saving to have the bags a part of the design. The company is attentive and stands behind their products. Highly recommend.

Improvement from an earlier version (last year) where the rim below the lid is stronger.

The lid is damaged and I would like a replacement can.

Looks fantastic but after 6 months the lid started squeaking every time it closed. One year later, the hinge collapsed and now it just slams shut. You would expect more from such a pricey garbage can.

Expensive kitchen pail but very well made and is a great size and style; especially with those who have pets. Liners are a must and odorsorb pods too, we absolutely love our expensive purchase.

this is our 3rd Simplehuman product. we love all their items. we had the white can before and ordered this to match the new appliances we had gotten for the kitchen and it looks like the same brand we have and is very sharp looking. even our 4 year old loves helping put new garbage bags in as they are easy to store and install.

I’m changing my rating from 3 stars to 5 stars. The first trash I received had a dent on the side. I called and customer service sent me a new trash and was very helpful. Love their products.

Compared to what i saw in big box stores this is a tank. The steel is thick enough it isn't easily dented. The lid closes flush so my dog can't get in. He hasn't even tried to tip it over. I know it was more expensive than the big box store but I have no regrets. It an elegant design.
