Is it easy to remove and will it cause damage

AnswerHello Kiki, thank you for your question. They are easy to remove with little to no damage, depending on the surface they were installed on. To make it easy, use a blow dryer to warm up each tile to soften the adhesive and pull softly starting with the corners. Use a cleaning product to wash the wall and remove any excess glue left by the Smart Tiles.
Will the tiles stand up to gentle scrubbing, like with a sponge and windex?

AnswerHello, thank you for your question. The best thing to use to clean Smart Tiles is a damp sponge with a mild soft cleaner, diluted dish soap works to clean the Smart Tiles.

AnswerHello, thank you for your question. Yes, they can be installed surrounding the fireplace providing that the surface temperature does not exceed 49 °C (120 °F). Also, it is important to avoid any direct contact with a heat source or open flame.

AnswersSmart Tiles cannot adhere properly to a textured surface, and it’s not recommended to install the tile on a pebbled dryway surface. You may be able to sand your wall smooth and if you do so, apply a primer and allow 72 hours for it to completely dry.(for paint, 21 days to cure) You must clean the wall with a degreaser such at TSP (to remove any dust ,grease or oil residue that may have settled. After, the surface is ready for Smart Tiles.

Not what we were expecting
First, these subway tiles are 1.5 in. x 3 in., half the size of standard subway tile. Second they are very thin, 1/16” as the spec. indicates. Third, at 34.00 for 4 sheets, they ssem overpriced to me. We needed to tile over a backsplash that was basically a formica sheet glued to the wall. These stick-on tiles wouldn’t even fill the gap between the new counter and the wall so we returned them and are going with classic ceramic subway tile. If your applying them over old tile backsplash, I think they will work out okay.

Hello. Thank you for taking the time to send us your peel and stick backsplash review. We are sorry if the product didn't meet your expectations. There are a few models available with the look of subway tile. This particular model is the smaller with 18 smaller "stones" measuring 3.x1.5 inch. There is the metro Tile that has 8 "stones " of 4.7 x 2.05 inches and the Olso which is an XL tile sheet which has 8 "stones" of 9.5 x 2.6 inches. As mentioned on the product page, they are very thin, they are 1/16" which makes them very lightweight, flexible and easy to install for any DIY project. For gaps larger that this, they would need to be filled.
