Types of Hurricane Shutters We Install
Accordion Shutter Installation
Accordion storm shutters are permanently attached to your window in one or two-piece configurations typically made of metal or polycarbonate. When you need them, they unfold like an accordion to cover and protect your windows during a storm.
Hurricane Fabric Installation
Fabric screens are an alternative type of hurricane shutters. These fabric panels, which are made of ballistic nylon, allow light through while still protecting your home from hurricane-force winds. Styles include roll-down, slide screens and strap and buckle. Hurricane fabric is not available in all locations.
Bahama Shutter Installation
Bahama hurricane shutters attach directly above the windows and have horizontal slats to keep out rain and glare from direct light. You can prop them open to let in light on regular days, but they can also be quickly shut and locked to protect your home when a hurricane hits. These one-piece louvered shutters are considered a more stylish option and can be made of aluminum, wood or fiberglass.
Colonial Shutter Installation
Similar to bahama storm shutters, colonial hurricane shutters are another stylish option made of wood, metal, or fiberglass. This two-piece louvered shutter attaches to the wall beside each window and can be folded up, giving the appearance of normal shutters. During a hurricane, the shutters are unfolded to cover the window and secured with a storm closure bar.
Roll Down Shutter Installation
Roll-down shutters attach above the window. They roll down when needed and roll up into a box when not in use. They can roll down automatically by pushing a button or manually with a hand crank in case of a power outage. Travis was my installer. He called to say the custom shutters had arrived early. I was ecstatic. I said how soon can you install them? He said how about tomorrow morning. He arrived early and installed the beautiful shutters. I am 100% happy. Travis did a perfect job. Explained and cleaned up everything. The salesperson Carlea was exceptionally great as well. I explained that I am retired and on a set budget. I really appreciate that she kept her word and kept within my budget. I highly recommend Carlea and Travis for an affordable quality product that?s made in the USA, arrived early and was installed perfectly. GREAT JOB!!!

The salesperson who did the initial consulting. She was very friendly and informative. The workmanship on the shutters were very well done. Travis, the installation person , called and said he could arrive earlier and we were thriiled, because we really couldn't wait to see the beautiful shutters. He did an excellent job. Very friendly and helpful. We will be ordering more shutters from Home Depot.
