Can I request installation for a mini-split I've already purchased?
Because our Mini-Split Installation service is all inclusive, we can't offer installations for mini-split systems you've already purchased. Your service provider will review the best product options for your home and budget during your consultation.
There are several reasons why most installers won’t install already-purchased mini-splits, but the most important are:
- The inability to support the product's warranty
- The size of the system or the system may not be appropriate for the space

I was 1st referred to WK Mechanical when I contacted Home Depot about installation of Mitsubishi splits. When my dinosaur of a furnace started acting up last month, I reached out to WK Mechanical because I had added my furnace/boiler, etc. to the service contract for the splits. They had someone at my house the same day (and it was a weekend, but involved no 'emergency' charges) to diagnose the issue. Within the week there was a friendly crew at my house (some of the same guys that came to install the splits!) installing the new furnace. They did a great job, explained what they did, what I need to do, AND they cleaned everything! What a great experience...for the 2nd time!

The Mitsubishi split level unit is great. The install was great, and my house is as cool as if I had ventilation. My issue is with Home Depot. Because I contacted them first, I couldn't get a quote with the company they contract through. They are really the only reputable company in my area, and it basically created a monopoly situation. I ended up paying a lot more going through Home Depot. Eventually, the unit will pay off, but I'm not real happy with HD going forward.
