Frequently Asked Questions About Your Store

Is there a sale on storage bins and shelves?

The Home Depot Garage Storage Sale is here, so it's time to get shopping. From workbenches to garage bundles, we've got bargains on everything you want for a neatly arranged garage. Shop the sales from 6/22/26–8/18/26, and make this the year you finally organize the shed, garage, and basement.

Where can I buy back-to-school supplies for my dorm?

We have all your college dorm essentials. Use storage containers or moving boxes to transport your belongings, and be ready with disinfecting wipes and cleaning supplies. Bring a tub of spackle to fill nail holes and Command adhesive hooks to hang string lights and wall art. Make the room your own with wall decals and area rugs. Power strips and extension cords let you place lamps, mini fridges, and countertop microwaves where you need them. If you didn't get a new bookbag yet, we've got those, too. Be prepared to head back to college with helpful products from your local Home Depot.

How can I prepare my home for summer temperatures?

Make certain your home is equipped for summer temps by replacing or repairing faulty parts of your home. Check cinder blocks and brick for cracks, and ensure indoor ceiling tiles are free from missing pieces. If moisture gets in the crevices, you could be looking at trouble. On your house's exterior, examine shingles or metal roofs for rust or damage that can let water come in. Keep gutters clear and functional to prevent water overflow from seeping beneath your shingles when storms arrive. Lastly, chimney caps and vinyl siding should be swapped out if they're in poor condition.

What types of moving boxes do you have?

Make your move easier by picking up an assortment of moving boxes. We've got the sizes you're looking for, including specialty ones like wardrobe and TV boxes. Cushion any and all items with bubble cushion and moving blankets to ensure your belongings make it to your next location safely. Remember to check out our moving truck rentals if you need those, too.

Should I get an inverter generator or a portable generator?

Having a generator means you're prepared year-round for whatever circumstances Mother Nature throws at you. Whether dealing with severe thunderstorms or strong winds, a portable generator lets you enjoy electricity when the elements take it out. When searching for generators for sale, keep in mind that inverter generators are more expensive than portable generators, but they're also quieter and cleaner. Always run your generators outdoors, away from windows and doors, for safety purposes.

Do you have doorbell cameras?

Enjoy peace of mind, safety, and privacy with a wired or wireless doorbell camera. Stop peeking through a nearby window when you can view human or animal visitors in real time. Some doorbell cameras even let you chat remotely via your phone, a useful interaction to scare off potential porch pirates or talk to delivery people. Most cameras integrate with your smart home app or hub to give you easy accessibility. Save video clips for future reference as it suits you.

Which project will be featured at the free Kids Workshop?

Don't miss our Kids Workshop to encourage future builders and craftspeople! Give your children a taste of the joy of building with this rocket game. Constructing a wooden spaceship toy is a great way to sharpen fine motor skills, creativity, and listening abilities. This cute kids' project is happening on August 1st, from 9 a.m. to noon or while supplies last.
