What should I bring when moving into my college dorm?
We've got your college dorm essentials. Get moving boxes or storage containers to transport your belongings, and be ready for residual dirt with cleaning supplies and disinfecting wipes. Make the room your own with area rugs and wall decals. Bring a tub of spackle to fill old nail holes and Command adhesive hooks to hang string lights and wall art. Power strips and extension cords let you place table lamps, microwaves, and mini refrigerators where you need them. If you didn't get a new school backpack yet, we've got those, too. Be prepared to head back to college with useful products from your Yuma Home Depot.
What do I do to prepare my home for scorching summer temps?
Be certain your home is equipped for summer temps by repairing or replacing faulty parts of your hardscaping and home. Check cinder blocks and brick for cracks, and ensure indoor ceiling tiles are free from water damage and missing pieces. If moisture gets inside the crevices, you might be dealing with damage. On the exterior of your home, inspect shingles or metal roofs for damage or rust that may let water in. Keep gutters clear of debris to prevent overflow from backing up into your home when storms arrive. Lastly, chimney caps and vinyl siding should be changed out if they're in poor condition.
Do you carry large moving boxes?
Pick up an assortment of moving boxes to make moving and storage easier. We've got the sizes you're looking for, including specialty ones like wardrobe and TV boxes. Cushion your items with bubble cushion and moving blankets to ensure your belongings make it to your next location safely. Look into our rental moving trucks, too, and take care of your DIY move needs in one place.
Do I need a generator?
Enjoy electricity in your home even after severe storms take it out. We've got the options you need when searching for a generator for sale. Inverter generators are cleaner and quieter than traditional portable generators. They'll adjust to the required load, making less noise when they create less power. When browsing generators, keep in mind that portable generators are more affordable and generate more electricity than inverter generators, but they're louder and heavier. Always run your generators outside, away from windows and doors, for safety purposes.
Do you have doorbell cameras?
Enjoy peace of mind, safety, and privacy with a wired or wireless doorbell camera. No more peeking through a window or peephole when you can see human or animal visitors in real time. Some doorbell cameras even let you chat remotely via your phone, a useful interaction to scare off potential porch pirates or talk to delivery people. Several cameras integrate with your smart home app or hub to give you flexible accessibility. Save video clips for future reference as it suits you.
