Frequently Asked Questions About Your Store

Does The Home Depot have a garage storage sale?

Explore our Garage Storage Savings and finally organize the basement, shed, or garage. Save up to 20% off select storage solutions and up to 15% off select garage tool storage solutions from your favorite brands. Stow tools out of sight with sturdy garage cabinets and other storage and organization options. Use storage bins to group your belongings, then arrange them on new garage shelving systems. Catch these bargains online and in-store from June 22nd through August 18th, 2026.

What should I bring to personalize my dorm?

Come see us for your dorm essentials. Get storage containers or moving boxes to transport your belongings, and be ready for residual dirt with cleaning wipes and other cleaning products. Bring a tub of spackling to fill old nail holes and Command adhesive hooks to hang string lights and wall art. Make the room your own with area rugs and wall decals. Extension cords and power strips let you place lamps, countertop microwaves, and mini fridges where you need them. If you didn't get a new bookbag yet, we've got those, too. Be prepared to head to college with useful products from your local Home Depot.

What home repairs should I make before summer storms hit?

Be confident your home is equipped for relentless summer heat by replacing faulty components of your hardscaping. If water gets inside the crevices, you could be dealing with mold. Check brick and cinder blocks for cracks, and ensure indoor ceiling tiles are free from missing pieces and water damage. On the outside of your house, inspect shingles or metal roofing for rust or damage that can let water in. Keep gutters clear and functional to prevent overflow from backing up into your home when storms arrive. Lastly, vinyl siding and chimney caps should be changed out if they're in poor condition.

Do you carry large moving boxes?

Pick up a mix of moving boxes to make moving and storage easier. We've got the sizes you want, including specialty ones like TV and wardrobe boxes. Cushion your items with bubble cushion and moving blankets to ensure your belongings make it safely. Look into our rental moving trucks, too, and take care of your DIY move needs in one place.

Is it good to have a generator at home?

Enjoy electricity in your home even after severe storms and wind take it out. We've got the options you need when searching for a generator for sale. Inverter generators are quieter and cleaner than traditional portable generators. They'll adjust to the required load, making less noise when they create less power. When exploring different generators, keep in mind that portable generators cost less and generate more electricity than inverter generators, but they're heavier and louder. For safety purposes, always run your generators outside, away from windows and doors.

Do you have doorbell cameras?

Enjoy privacy, peace of mind, and safety with a wireless or wired doorbell camera. Stop peeking through an adjacent window when you can view human or animal visitors in real time. Some doorbell cams even let you speak to whoever is at the door via your phone, a useful interaction for delivery people or to scare off wannabe porch pirates. Many cameras integrate with your smart home hub or app to give you flexible and easy accessibility. Save video clips for future reference as needed.

Great Customer Service
I went shopping for flooring for my garage gym. John in paint section saw me looking and asked if he could help me find anything. I told him my needs and he walked me to the product, found a cart for me and helped me load several heavy mats. Dude was absolutely awesome. You have a winner working there. I wish there was a person like him in every store.

Came to the house plugged in the refrigerator did not set it up left the inside pieces off to the side .told him I also have a removal of a refrigerator out side ,he said it wasn’t on his paperwork, with attitude ,had to prove it on my paperwork, they were disrespectful jerks .there was rat droppings by the out door refrigerator and he said he would not touch it cause of that and could not remove it, ok I get that . At this time there is still Attitude!!! No thank you Home Depot.also you need to credit my account for the 50$ removal of the refrigerator.that you did not take.

        Aisles blocked and items unobtainable
You shouldn't block areas of the store no matter how many deliveries you receive. I could barely get to some outdoor items and when I did the tomato cages were all tied together! C'mon Home Depot, don't make it a hassle to stop! You should make it easier not harder to get to the items I want!

            Get things done by yourself
There employees at this location are the worst. I passed several today and none engaged it asked if I needed help. At one point there were 4 employees talking by me while I loaded my lumber. Never asked if I needed a hand. One even tried to take the cart I had brought in from the parking lot, that I was going to load with my stuff. There were so many employees today just wandering around. The cart crew were killing it bring carts in quickly. Kudos to them. The one department that seems to care.

Loading dock is ridiculous. Corporate needs to investigate.
One vehicle is allowed to enter and then loaded. Then they have to back out. Problem arises when vehicles behind them also have to back up. Not safe, because pedestrians are trying to enter the store via the side walk we're all the vehicles are parked waiting there turn. Entrance to lawn and garden was partially blocked by vehicles along the side walk. No one really understands any of these new loading rules.

                  Nursery plants allowed to die.
I recently tried to buy plants from HD only to find many flowers & shrubs dead or dying from lack of water. Why can't you hire someone to do this simple job? Is it because you don't pay enough?

                    Such good service
Needed an item that weighed more than my 90-year-old husband could take from shelf or load in truck. Had 2 of the most accommodating employees help us on a Sat. morning, really appreciate both of them.
