What do I do to prepare my home for scorching summer temps?

Be certain your home is ready for summer temps by replacing or repairing faulty components of your home. If moisture gets in the cracks, you could be looking at trouble. Check cinder blocks and brick for cracks, and ensure indoor ceiling tiles are free from water damage. On the exterior of your home, inspect metal roofing or roof shingles for rust or damage that might let water come in. Keep gutters fully functional to prevent excess water from seeping beneath your shingles when storms arrive. Lastly, vinyl siding and chimney caps should be swapped out if they're badly weathered.

Do you carry moving boxes?

Pick up a mix of moving boxes to make your move easier. We've got the sizes you've been searching for, including specialty ones like TV and wardrobe boxes. Cushion any and all items with bubble cushion and moving blankets to ensure your belongings make it safely. Look into our moving truck rentals, too, and take care of your DIY move needs in one place.

Why should I get a generator?

Having a generator means you're prepared year-round for whatever circumstances Mother Nature throws at you. Whether dealing with tornados or severe thunderstorms, a portable generator lets you enjoy power when the elements take it out. When searching for generators for sale, keep in mind that portable generators are more affordable and generate more electricity than inverter generators, but they're heavier and louder. Always run your generators outside, away from doors and windows, for safety purposes.

Do you have wired or wireless doorbell cameras?

Enjoy privacy, safety, and peace of mind with a wired or wireless doorbell camera. No more peeking through a window or peephole when you can watch human or animal visitors in real time. Some doorbell cams even let you chat remotely via your phone, a useful interaction to scare off would-be porch pirates or talk to delivery people. Several cameras integrate with your smart home hub or app to give you easy accessibility. Save video clips for future reference and worry less with more control.

What's the project for the free Kids Workshop?

Don't miss our Kids Workshop to encourage future craftspeople and builders! Introduce your children to the joys of building with this rocket game. Constructing a wooden spaceship toy is a great way to sharpen listening abilities, fine motor skills, and creativity. This fun kids' project is happening on August 1st, from 9 a.m. to noon or while supplies last.

Received damaged goods
I need to replace a sliding screen door. Fairly simple. Store assistance was fine. Home delivery was good and on time, but the package and product were damaged, and needed to be returned. Not happy.

      Great staff
I was looking for certain types of screws to hang shutters in to mason. Gary helped me and actually corrected what I was planning to buy and informed me what to actually buy.

        Terrible Experience
This Home Depot store needs new helpful employees that at least know the store. All they have to do is walk around and learn something. They need to try and help. Not one person available to help, and not one cash register was open. Only self-check out was open.

This place is so awful. Nothing is ever in stock. The wood is crooked and warped. The people there are just collecting a paycheck. It’s incredibly hilarious how terribly run for as long as it has been thank God there’s a loads right around the corner

no help. no associates in most aisles during prime afternoon to help customers. Have to walk to cashiers to summon help. When one comes, most are least interested in helping. No smile, no greeting. Used to be good but now it is a joke. Rot starts at top - Mgmt neees to be fired & replaced. Wonder why HD stock is way down lately ?

                My go to store
I shop at the East Hanover New Jersey store. I was there a few days ago and was quickly greeted. I was asked if I needed any assistance finding anything. I told the worker what I was looking for and she took me to the aisle and showed me where the item was. I was able to quickly purchase the item. In fact, one of the workers at the self pay stations scanned my item and wished me a happy day. It was a very pleasant experience.

                  Exceptionally polite
Every employee at the East Hanover, NJ store was very polite and accommodating. I appreciated the help Pam gave me in completing a vanity “redo” at my daughter’s home.

Useful place to get many things
It is a good place to get most home improvement items. Unless, they are specialized items which can be ordered to pick instore or deliver home. One has to keep in mind of $79 shipping charge for home material. So, need to make sure that make one order of all items needed to avoid that charge every time. Overall, I go there almost every week or multiple times a week.
