What do I need for my dorm?

Come see us for your college dorm essentials. Get moving boxes or storage containers to transport your belongings, and be ready for residual dirt with cleaning wipes and other cleaning products. Make your room your own with area rugs and wall decals. Bring a tub of spackling to fill old nail holes and Command adhesive hooks to hang string lights. Extension cords and power strips let you place table lamps, microwaves, and mini fridges where you need them. If you didn't get a new school backpack yet, we've got those, too. Be prepared to head back to college with helpful products from your Montrose Home Depot.

How can I prepare my home for summer temps?

Be confident your home is set for summertime temperatures by repairing faulty components of your hardscaping and home. Check cinder blocks and bricks for cracks, and ensure indoor ceiling tiles are free from water damage. On the outside of your home, inspect shingles or metal roofs for damage that could let water leak inside. Keep gutters clear of debris to prevent overflow from entering your home when storms arrive. Lastly, chimney caps and vinyl siding should be changed out if they're in poor condition.

Do you have specialty moving boxes?

Make storage or moving easier by picking up a mix of moving boxes. We've got the sizes you need, including specialty ones like wardrobe and TV boxes. Cushion any and all items with bubble cushion and moving blankets to ensure your belongings make it to your next location safely. Remember to check out our moving truck rentals if you need those, too.

Should I get an inverter generator or a portable generator?

Having a generator means you're prepared year-round for any circumstances Mother Nature throws at you. Whether dealing with severe thunderstorms or strong winds, a portable generator lets you enjoy electricity after the elements take it out. When exploring different generators for sale, keep in mind that portable generators cost less and generate more electricity than inverter generators, but they're louder and heavier. For safety purposes, always run your generators outdoors, away from doors and windows.

What benefits do doorbell cameras have?

Enjoy peace of mind, safety, and privacy with a wireless or wired doorbell camera. Stop peeking through a window when you can watch human or animal visitors in real time. Some doorbell cams even let you chat remotely via your phone, a useful interaction to scare off would-be porch pirates or talk to delivery people. Several cameras integrate with your smart home app or hub to give you flexible and easy accessibility. Save video clips for future reference as needed.

This store was built in a small community about 20 years ago. Unfortunately, it was built on a small footprint. The growth in this community has been extensive, lending to the grow and expansion of our Home Depot on this smaller footprint. What has become extremely frustrating, is the narrowing of the isles with product displays taking up valuable space, often making it difficult to navigate. What is even worse is in the front of the store, the main isle jammed with product displays. If meeting someone coming the other way, it generally means someone having to back up or step off into another isle. What adds to this mess is the pallets of products left in the isles blocking access to items on the shelves. There’s been more than once I have passed on a purchase because of pallets in the way. The parking lot is ok, but not great. I think the stripping was done to accommodate as many small cars as possible… not TRUCKS! There is very little room for vehicles and trailers. There is a designated area for truck and trailer but no more than 2. The only other option is finding some open space at the far end of the lot. I’ve heard from contractors more than once how frustrating it is parking at this particular Home Depot. I would recommend this Home Depot only because the next nearest is 85 miles away.

      Sufficient store
I usually have to travel at least 40 minutes every time I need something so it's good to have an outlet with products that I need.

Had a bad costly experience a few years ago
I was having a home built and went to Home Depot to purchase my windows. The salesman there talked me out of buying Anderson windows and talked me into ply gem windows. Told me they had nothing but problems with Anderson. So i was steered towards ply gem. Nothing but problems with these windows. And these are the supposed upper level ply gem windows. Garbage. Every single window in the house is bad. After trying to deal with ply gem as well as home depot, ply gem gave me an insulting offer and neither home depot nor ply gem had my back. So with that kind of service or lack of, if I had any other options in home centers i sure wouldnt be dealing with home depot any more. And if I did have problems with Anderson windows at least they honor their warranty.

                Best Home Depot around
I have had to deal with many Home Depots across the country as we purchase and send to various clients. This Home Depot hands down is the easiest and most pleasent to deal with. All the associates are very nice and knowlagable to the products and procedures. The store in ist self has alwayus be by far the cleanest and most orginized I hqave gone into. Everything is exactlly wherre its is suppose to be and easy to find.

                  Montrose Home Depot FAILS
Over decades, I have religiously shopped at HD for any home and business repairs, improvements and upgrades I have needed. When building our new home began, I continued this trend. But my purchase of 7 exterior doors quickly went south. 3 doors were Special Orders that arrived within 4 weeks. An entry door was damaged and I submitted a warranty claim. After no contact, I finally received an email 31 days later that Jeld Wen needed the door at the store to examine it before a replacement could be ordered. My contractor stepped in and got another door coming, 3 months later. The door that arrived in mid October was not the correct one, so in mid December I finally got the correct door. This process took 6 1/2 months. In February I made a purchase and the cashier required my Driver’s License. 2 weeks later while traveling I discovered it missing. Upon returning home, I immediately ordered another at the local DOL, at a cost to me. From there I went to our HD to make a purchase, and suddenly I remembered the last place I had it was at the Pro Desk. I inquired at the desk and was told to go to Customer Service, where I was told this would have been placed in the store safe. After they made 2 phone calls, they informed me it was at the Pro Desk. Arriving there, an employee handed me my Driver’s License. He stated that it had been there at the desk. Why someone would not have called me is inexplicable. If there was any other option for meeting my needs I would never set foot in a Home Depot again. Of course, last month we were out of town and made a payment 1 day late, and they billed me a $30 late fee. The takeaway is that the customer’s time has no value, but HD absolutely cannot be inconvenienced by providing proper customer service. What a pathetic excuse of a business.
