What do I need for my teen's college dorm?
We have all your college dorm essentials. Utilize our storage containers or moving boxes to transport your belongings, and be ready for residual dirt with disinfecting wipes and cleaning supplies. Bring spackle to fill old nail holes and Command adhesive hooks to hang wall art and string lights. Make the room your own with wall decals and area rugs. Power strips and extension cords let you place lamps, countertop microwaves, and mini fridges where you need them. If you didn't get a new school backpack yet, we've got those, too. Be prepared to head to college with helpful products from your local Home Depot.
How can I prepare my home for summer temps?
Be certain your home is ready for summer temps by replacing faulty components of your home. If water gets inside the crevices, you might be looking at trouble. Check cinder blocks and brick for cracks, and ensure indoor ceiling tiles are free from water damage. On the outside of your house, inspect metal roofs or shingles for damage that could let water leak in. Keep gutters functional and clear to keep rain overflow from backing up into your home when storms arrive. Lastly, vinyl siding and chimney caps should be changed out if they're in poor condition.
Do you have moving boxes?
Pick up a variety of moving boxes to make your move easier. We've got the sizes you want, including specialty ones like TV and wardrobe boxes. Cushion your items with bubble cushion and moving blankets to ensure your belongings make it safely. Look into our moving truck rentals, too, and take care of your DIY move needs in one place.
Should I get a portable generator or an inverter generator?
Restore electricity in your home even after severe storms and wind take it out. We've got the options you need when searching for a generator for sale. Inverter generators are cleaner and quieter than traditional portable generators. They'll adjust to the required load, making less noise when they create less power. When browsing generators, keep in mind that portable generators are more affordable and generate more electricity than inverter generators, but they're louder and heavier. For safety purposes, always run your generators outside, away from windows and doors.
Do you have doorbell cameras?
Enjoy privacy, peace of mind, and safety with a wireless or wired doorbell camera. No more peeking through a window or peephole when you can view human or animal visitors in real time. Some doorbell cams even let you talk to whoever is on your doorstep via your phone, a useful interaction for delivery people or to scare off wannabe porch pirates. Several cameras integrate with your smart home app or hub to give you easy and flexible accessibility. Choose to save video clips for future reference and worry less with more control.
When is the Home Depot Kids Workshop in August?

Building this small wooden spaceship is a great way to encourage listening abilities, creativity, and fine motor skills. Team up with your little ones to make this fun craft while supplies last.
