What home repairs should I make before summer storms hit?
Make certain your home is ready for summertime temperatures by repairing or replacing faulty components of your home. If moisture gets in the crevices, you could be dealing with damage. Check cinder blocks and bricks for cracks, and ensure indoor ceiling tiles are free from missing pieces and water damage. On the outside of your house, inspect metal roofing or shingles for damage or rust that might let water in. Keep gutters functional and clear to prevent water overflow from going beneath your shingles. Lastly, vinyl siding and chimney caps should be changed out if they're badly weathered.
What types of moving boxes do you have?
Make moving or storage easier by picking up a mix of moving boxes. We've got the sizes you've been looking for, including specialty ones like wardrobe and TV boxes. Cushion your items with bubble cushion and moving blankets to ensure your belongings make it to your next location safely. Remember to check out our moving truck rentals if you need those, too.
Is it good to have a generator at home?
Having a generator means you're prepared year-round for whatever circumstances Mother Nature throws at you. Whether dealing with severe thunderstorms or strong winds, a portable generator lets you enjoy electricity after the elements take it out. When exploring different generators for sale, don't forget that portable generators are more affordable and generate more electricity than inverter generators, but they're heavier and louder. Always run your generators outside, away from doors and windows, for safety purposes.
Do you have doorbell cameras?
Enjoy safety, peace of mind, and privacy with a wired or wireless doorbell camera. Stop peeking through a peephole or window when you can watch animal or human visitors in real time. Some doorbell cameras even let you speak to whoever is at the door via your phone, a useful interaction for delivery people or to scare off wannabe porch pirates. Most cameras integrate with your smart home app or hub to give you flexible accessibility. Save video clips for future reference as it suits you.
