Frequently Asked Questions About Your Store

Does The Home Depot have a storage sale?

The Home Depot Garage Storage Sale is here, so start shopping now. From storage bins to tool chests, we've got bargains on everything you want for a clean and neatly arranged garage. Shop the sales online or in-store from June 22nd through August 18th, 2026, and make this the year you clean out the basement, garage, and shed.

How can I prepare my home for summer temps?

Be confident your home is set for summertime heat by repairing faulty components of your hardscaping. Check cinder blocks and brick for cracks, and ensure indoor ceiling tiles are free from water damage and missing pieces. On your house's exterior, inspect roof shingles or metal roofing for damage or rust that might let water seep in. Keep gutters clear of debris to keep rain overflow from backing up into your home when storms arrive. Lastly, chimney caps and vinyl siding should be changed out if they're in poor condition.

What kinds of moving boxes do you have?

Make storage or moving easier by picking up a variety of moving boxes. We've got the sizes you're searching for, including specialty ones like TV and wardrobe boxes. Cushion any and all items with moving blankets and bubble cushion to ensure your belongings make it safely. Don't forget to check out our moving truck rentals if you need those, too.

Should I get a portable generator or an inverter generator?

Having a generator means you're prepared year-round for whatever circumstances Mother Nature throws at you. Whether dealing with hurricanes, tornados, blizzards, severe thunderstorms, or strong winds, a portable generator lets you enjoy power when the elements take it out. When exploring different generators for sale, remember that portable generators cost less and generate more electricity than inverter generators, but they're heavier and louder. Always run your generators outside, away from windows and doors, for safety purposes.

Do you have doorbell cameras?

Enjoy safety, peace of mind, and privacy with a wired or wireless doorbell camera. No more peeking through a peephole when you can watch animal or human visitors in real time. Some doorbell cams even let you speak to whoever is at the door via your phone, a useful interaction for delivery people or to scare off would-be porch pirates. Several cameras integrate with your smart home app or hub to give you flexible and easy accessibility. Choose to save video clips for future reference as needed.

    Helpful Employees
I had a bad experience a few years ago in New Mexico where you could not find a clerk on the floor when I needed one to help me. In my experience in the store in Helena, I was greeted by an employee who led me to the clerk that could help me with my business . Other employees were available as well. Great experience!

Cancelled our business credit account when an individual died
My father recently passed away and we were not surprised to receive a letter from Citibank (the financier for Home Depot's credit cards) saying his personal account had been closed. We were very surprised when we received a second letter telling us our business' commercial revolving account had been closed. We spoke with the probate department only to discover the "commercial revolving credit" card was tied to my father's SSN, not our company's federal EIN as we thought it was. They couldn't reopen the account, so we visited the store to open a second commercial account only to discover that the application process no longer even asks for the EIN. The young lady helping us had phone calls out to people to find out what was going on but after three days we've not heard back from her and don't expect to. We had to purchase lumber on my wife's personal account which has a very small credit limit. Don't trust that your "commercial revolving credit" is a business account, it's more likely that it's just a personal account that issued a card with your business' name printed on it and it's not the same thing. This feels like a class action lawsuit in the making.

Great experience at the appliance desk.
We bought a refrigerator last evening. Jim helped us through the process. He was knowledgeable and made whole process very simple. It was a very good experience.

                Nice store
People there are hit and miss. Super friendly or totally ignoring. You lack variety and some of the very basic things needed in a house. Pricing is more expensive here. It is a great store. It could be so much more. The garden area is spectacular.. if it was just them, they would get five stars
