Frequently Asked Questions About Your Store

What is Express Delivery, and is my store eligible?

Select products arrive at top speed with Express Delivery, a same-day service that delivers directly from your store to your front door. Orders must be placed by 4 p.m. local time to ensure delivery. Your order's eligibility depends on item size, local stock, and driver availability. Qualifying items will feature an Express Delivery tag in your cart and at checkout when you set your local store in the app or online (excludes aerosols, custom mixed paint, and bulk orders). Additional delivery charges may apply for Express Delivery orders.

How can I prepare my home for summer temperatures?

Make certain your home is ready for summertime temperatures by replacing faulty parts of your home and hardscaping. Check cinder blocks and bricks for cracks, and ensure indoor ceiling tiles are free from water damage. If water gets in the crevices, you might be looking at trouble. On the exterior of your home, examine roof shingles or metal roofing for rust or damage that can let water come in. Keep gutters clear and functional to keep rain overflow from entering your home when storms arrive. Lastly, chimney caps and vinyl siding should be swapped out if they're badly weathered.

Do you have specialty moving boxes?

Make your move easier by picking up a variety of moving boxes. We've got the sizes you're looking for, including specialty ones like TV and wardrobe boxes. Cushion any and all items with moving blankets and bubble cushion to ensure your belongings make it safely. Remember to check out our rental moving trucks if you need those, too.

Should I get an inverter generator or a portable generator?

Restore power in your home even after severe storms and wind take it out. We've got the options you need when searching for a generator for sale. Inverter generators are quieter and cleaner than traditional portable generators. They'll adjust to the required load, making less noise when they create less power. When browsing generators, keep in mind that portable generators are more affordable and generate more electricity than inverter generators, but they're heavier and louder. Always run your generators outdoors, away from windows and doors, for safety purposes.

What benefits do doorbell cameras have?

Enjoy peace of mind, privacy, and safety with a wired or wireless doorbell camera. No more peeking through a nearby window when you can see animal or human visitors in real time. Some doorbell cams even let you talk to whoever is on your doorstep via your phone, a useful interaction to scare off would-be porch pirates or talk to delivery people. Several cameras integrate with your smart home hub or app to give you easy and flexible accessibility. Choose to save video clips for future reference and worry less with more control.

When is the Home Depot Kids Workshop in October?

Head to our Kids Workshop to encourage future craftspeople and builders! Introduce your children to the joys of building with this witch candy box. Constructing a brightly colored container is a great way to hone fine motor skills, listening abilities, and creativity. This fun kids' project is happening on 10/3/2026, from 9 a.m. to noon or while supplies last.
