Frequently Asked Questions About Your Store

Are washing machines on sale for Memorial Day at Home Depot?

The bargains you've been waiting for are here from May 14–27, 2026! Shop huge Memorial Day Deals to upgrade every part of your house. We've got savings on refrigerators, tools, outdoor power equipment, and storage and organization, to name a few categories — but there's more! You’ll find unbelievable savings, including up to 40% off select appliances and select online bath items. You can shop smart by checking out the deals at our Memorial Day Sale in person at our store or on The Home Depot mobile app.

How can I prep my home for flip-flopping spring temps?

Be certain your home is equipped for spring temperature swings by repairing or replacing faulty components of your hardscaping and home. If moisture gets inside the cracks, you could be looking at trouble. Check bricks and cinder blocks for cracks, and ensure indoor ceiling tiles are free from missing pieces. On the outside of your home, examine roof shingles or metal roofs for rust or damage that may let water in. Keep gutters clear of debris to keep rain overflow from backing up into your home. Lastly, vinyl siding and chimney caps should be changed out if they're in poor condition.

Do you carry large moving boxes?

Pick up a variety of moving boxes to make storage and moving easier. We've got the sizes you need, including specialty ones like TV and wardrobe boxes. Cushion any and all items with bubble cushion and moving blankets to ensure your belongings make it safely. Look into our moving truck rentals, too, and take care of your DIY move needs in one place.

Should I get a portable generator or an inverter generator?

Having a generator means you're prepared year-round for any circumstances Mother Nature throws at you. Whether dealing with severe thunderstorms or strong winds, a portable generator lets you enjoy electricity after the elements take it out. When searching for generators for sale, don't forget that inverter generators cost more than portable generators, but they're also quieter and cleaner. For safety purposes, always run your generators outdoors, away from windows and doors.

What are the benefits of doorbell cameras?

Enjoy peace of mind, safety, and privacy with a wired or wireless doorbell camera. Stop peeking through a peephole or window when you can watch animal or human visitors in real time. Some doorbell cameras even let you chat remotely via your phone, a useful interaction for delivery people or to scare off would-be porch pirates. Many cameras integrate with your smart home app or hub to give you easy accessibility. Save video clips for future reference and worry less with more control.

When is the next Home Depot Kids Workshop?

Head to the Kids Workshop on June 6th, from 9 a.m. to noon or while supplies last. It's time to put together a goalie game! Your little builder can assemble their very own soccer craft — like the tabletop version but kid-sized. Remember to leave some time to play a few rounds of DIY soccer!
