Frequently Asked Questions About Your Store

What's on sale for Memorial Day?

Get ready to save money when you shop The Home Depot Memorial Day Sale. We've got the major items you want to save on: outdoor power equipment, patio furniture, grills, appliances, and more. Some categories have select items up to 40%, while others offer up to 20% off. It's easy to snag unbelievable deals from May 14 to 27 with our mobile app or in person at your local store.

How can I prepare my home for fluctuating spring temperatures?

Make certain your home is equipped for wild temperature swings by repairing or replacing faulty components of your home. On your house's exterior, inspect shingles or metal roofs for damage or rust that can let water leak inside. Keep gutters clear and functional to prevent overflow from backing up into your home when storms arrive. Chimney caps and vinyl siding should be changed out if they're in poor condition. Also, check cinder blocks and bricks for cracks, and ensure indoor ceiling tiles are free from missing pieces and water damage. If water gets in the cracks, you might be looking at a problem.

What kinds of moving boxes do you have?

Make your move easier by picking up an assortment of moving boxes. We've got the sizes you want, including specialty ones like wardrobe and TV boxes. Cushion any and all items with bubble cushion and moving blankets to ensure your belongings make it to your next location safely. Don't forget to check out our moving truck rentals if you need those as well.

Should I get an inverter generator or a portable generator?

Having a generator means you're prepared year-round for any circumstances Mother Nature throws at you. Whether dealing with hurricanes, tornados, blizzards, severe thunderstorms, or strong winds, a portable generator lets you enjoy power after the elements take it out. When browsing generators for sale, keep in mind that inverter generators cost more than portable generators, but they're also quieter and cleaner. For safety purposes, always run your generators outside, away from windows and doors.

Do you carry wireless or wired doorbell cameras?

Enjoy safety, peace of mind, and privacy with a wired or wireless doorbell camera. No more peeking through a peephole or window when you can see human or animal visitors in real time. Some doorbell cameras even let you chat remotely via your phone, a useful interaction for delivery people or to scare off potential porch pirates. Many cameras integrate with your smart home hub or app to give you flexible and easy accessibility. Save video clips for future reference as needed.

When is the next free Kids Workshop?

Head to the Kids Workshop from 9 a.m. to noon on June 6, 2026. Give your children a taste of the joy of building with this adorable pint-sized soccer field. Building this tiny soccer game is a great way to encourage listening abilities, creativity, and fine motor skills. Team up with your little ones to make this quick craft while supplies last. Don't forget to leave some time to play a few rounds of DIY soccer!
