Our store diverts waste from landfills by accepting rechargeable batteries, plastic plant pots, CFLs, and lead acid batteries for recycling.
Our stores sent approximately 5.3M pounds of shredded paper for recycling in 2022. This has helped the planet by preserving over 63.5K trees. It kept over 16K trash bags of solid waste out of landfills, saved over 50M gallons of water, and conserved 7.8M kilowatt hours of electricity.
LED lights in your local store saved on energy consumption by 98 million kilowatt hours. Many stores also participate in renewable energy initiatives like wind and solar.

When is the August Home Depot Kids Workshop?
Drop by our Kids Workshop on August 3rd, from 9–noon or while supplies last for this month's project. It's time to create a kid-sized dry erase board that encourages creativity and portable artistry! Your little one can put together a colorful stand then add the board. The best part is drawing on it, so leave some time to draw and share your art with everyone!
