Welcome to the Allentown South Home Depot. We're ready to help you start your next project.

No matter how complex your project may be, we're here to help you finish it. From Hampton Bay patio furniture to electrical supplies our associates will get you in and out. You can also check out our Home Depot product locator app, which displays a store map, the aisle location and the current inventory available for the items you're looking for.

At Home Depot, getting involved in our community is important to us. We support the Vets for Vets program, local first responders and Kutsztown University of Pennsylvania. We also offer hands-on learning and expert advice at our DIY workshops, with topics tailored to everyone in your family, including workshops for kids, which provide an enjoyable environment mixing creativity and fun.

You can find us northeast of the intersection of I-78 and PA-29, just south of the Allentown Queen City Municipal Airport, close to the Mack Trucks Historical Museum. Stop by soon.

What additional precautions is The Home Depot taking in light of COVID-19?
The adjusted hours give stores the ability to staff appropriately and provide additional time to restock shelves and perform cleaning. As part of our normal practice, our stores and other facilities are cleaned and sanitized daily. Following guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), we've increased the frequency of cleaning and general hygiene maintenance in stores and other locations. We've also stepped up our efforts to disinfect high-traffic and high-touch areas like self-checkout, door handles, and bathrooms, as well as posting signage about handwashing and other preventative actions.
We're promoting social distancing in our stores and distribution centers, which includes stores limiting the number of customers inside at any given time. In addition to training our associates on social distancing, we've placed distancing markers at some of our checkout counters and are making overhead announcements on our store PA systems asking customers to practice social distancing.

Associates are very good at passing responsibilities around and not actually helping customers. It is always somebody elses job to help. The electrical part is poorly stocked, hardware is even worse, wait times for loading help are incredibly unreasonable (46 minutes, asked 3 times for help loading a pallet of cement mix), pushy sales people that want you to get estimates for kitchens, windows, etc...- all of the stuff they sell materials for but sub out the actual work, unwillingness to check stock at other stores nearby, the list continues. This was just my last visit too! However, the checkout woman at the contactor side that always seems to be working is VERY good at her job. She probably doesn't make enough money to deal with the other bologna that goes on there, but who knows.

I walked into the store 5 minutes before close searching for a dehumidifier for my basement. As I walked in, I saw an employee and asked him what aisle it was in. After searching that aisle, I couldn’t find the model I was looking for. I went to the customer service counter and asked for assistance. There was a woman at the counter who greeted me but an African-American male employee who I assumed was the manager interrupted us and started interrogating me in a disrespectful manner on what I was looking for. (I can’t remember his name). I just remember his voice inflection was horrible and he seemed annoyed by something. I’m not certain why especially since I was going to spend over $300. I guess he couldn’t get off his high horse and was too busy to assist me. He delegated the task to another employee who was very friendly and helpful to find the model I was looking for. Luckily, I was in dire need of the dehumidifier because I do not take disrespect lightly. This is my last purchase from the company. This manager ruined my experience and needless to say I will be taking my future business to your competitor. Please train your managers on customer service 101!
