This Home Depot is good in two departments. Electrical and Paint. If you need help there often it is available. However, if the store is busy and you're making a lumber purchase and you aren't an attractive female or a contractor you can expect a wait. Often times I'll find myself looking for a specific item and I cannot locate it or the associate doesn't have the knowledge to find what I'm asking for. I'm not talking about complicated items either. On a recent visit I needed a compression fitting for the hot water line under my kitchen sink. Should be straight forward right? Go get the piece and check out, done. This did not happen, instead I found that the shelves were in disarray and many of the boxes had been opened and/or had the actual contents switched around. Instead of a quick in and out I had to measure an opened product to make sure it was the right one. It took me nearly 40 minutes. The associate shrugged when I asked for help and told me he didn't do plumbing, but that he, "Would go find the guy who knows." He never showed. This is indicative of my experiences with the associates at this home depot regarding anything remotely technical. If I'm in electrical, the guy in the aisle is often a lumber tech or if I'm in plumbing the associate is here from the outdoor section. I understand that not every employee can master everything, but they should be able to get someone who can help with it. The thing that really burns me about this place is the failure of attention in lumber I am a frequent DIYer. I am not a novice, and I do a lot of house related projects. On my last big visit to the store my wife went to lumber to get some 2x6s and I went to pick up some screws and an extra bit. I found those items quickly enough. When I went to see if my wife needed help she was being helped by three male associates. At most she needed the help of two of them to select lumber and I also needed to pick up some other lumber. I asked the group of guys if one of them could help me get out some sheets of plywood. They all looked at me and explained that they were helping a customer. No one needs that much help. My wife told them that she didn't need that much help and to, "Please help my husband lift the plywood on to our flat." At those words they became far less helpful and quickly we were left to our own devices while the associates milled around doing near to nothing. If this was an uncommon occurrence I would chalk it up to stuff happens, but it doesn't. If my wife is alone she gets helped within minutes of walking through the door. If I'm with my contractor friend the same thing happens, although they're less slimy and much more to the point. If I am alone I practically have to beg. The only really redeeming aspect of this store is the paint section. Those guys and gals know what they are doing and color match wonderfully. They are prompt and to the point. Even if there is a line they address each person to see if they can expedite their experience. Usually there is someone in electrical who knows what the heck is going on, but again not always. If I'm at home and working on a project and I know EXACTLY what and how much I need I'll go to this Home Depot. Otherwise, I go to the local hardware store where they value customer service and repeat business over everything or, if Home Depot is the place I have to go I'll take the extra 30 minutes and drive to the West Sacramento location. I wouldn't recommend this location. I don't like this Home Depot.

I spend a lot of time on the weekends at Home Depot. My husband and I always have some project going on and can always count on them to have what we need in stock.

The associates were patient and very helpful answering all of my questions. My satisfaction mattered to them.

I really don't like the self check out. It seems like you hire more people also.

The cool thing about this store it's that they have very knowledgeable people working there. If they don't know the answer they'll find someone who does. They will explain things in a way that helps you select the right product for the job. There's no pressure to buy or up-sell. It is one of the more pleasant places to shop.

Friendly staff, shelves are fairly well stocked, and most anything you'd go there for they have.

Helpful employees. Didn't have to search for help.

Happy Melendez was extremely helpful as were the other associates who have helped me in the past.

Ever time I come to this Home Depot it is always good service. I got some help from Gabby to locate a product and when she walked me up to the checkout counter to Kristina I just got better. Friendly is an understatement. these girls were making me laugh and feel very good. I will always come this Home depot because of employees like that. Thanks Girls!!

Your cashier Morgan was very helpful and friendly. I was in a bit of a rush and she took me to the aisle where I found what I needed and then again at the register she was polite and friendly and made me feel important. She acknowledged me with a smile and was just very pleasant.

My wife and I were closing on a condo. Every week, we went to Home Depot. First or was for a fridge. Second was for washer/dryer. Third was for misc cleaning supplies. Every week, all the store staff was extremely helpful. Especially Ed, David, Keesa, and all he others I asked for help. Thank you again!

This Home Depot is Organized and laid out perfectly. It's so easy to find everything you need.

This is THE Home Depot store to shop at! I spend all my discretionary money here:) Of course, I have a fixer-upper but none-the-less, this store has it ALL! * Friendly, helpful sales associates * Variety of options for all types of projects * Pricing is competitive even with Costco, Sam's Club and other warehouse stores If you want exceptional help in appliances, ask for Deeann!

Tom in tools is great, he did as much as he could to help me out, best HD employee ive ever dealt with and im at HD everyday!!!

This store, though a bit smaller than some, almost always has what I need. The sales associates are always gracious, helpful, and more importantly...usually available. Fred in the Mill-work department, Keana in the Garden department (and a host of other associates) are all very nice people and know what they are talking about...I appreciate the staff at this store.

An extremely helpful associate in lighting helped me choose the correct florescent bulb for my kitchen and showed me how purchasing a larger package would save me money in the long run. Your cashier Keana was very friendly, courteous and professional at the register.

This is the best Home Depot I have been to and I have been to many all over California. The staff is so helpful and available. They spend quality time with me and make helpful suggestions to save me money! I would recommend this store to anyone especially if you are a 61 years old and a women doing minor home repairs on her own!!!
