Every time me and my family are shopping at this store Vanessa F is always so nice to me and my family I do all of my shopping here. She helps me with my online pick ups and also returns she sold me all of my appliances. today I brought a snow blower she made my check out and shopping experience very simple. Hire more people like her she’s always ready to help I told her that I would do her survey she is such a ball of joy she jokes and laughs and comes ready to work thanks for being an essential worker more people should meet you. You make my day when I shop here. Way to go Vanessa F
On Jan 15, 2021 around 5:30p I tried to use a store credit card issued after a purchase I originally made but for which my brother-in-law made the return since I was pretty busy at work at the time and we didn’t have the receipt any more. Now I was trying to make a new purchase partially paying with the store credit and the employee at the check out area saw my ID and I learned that that the card had a name listed there and I explained that the person listed for the card wouldn’t be able to redeem it himself and so it would be rendered useless. She called her supervisor who limited her appearance to make a speech about the person listed there having to be the one using the card. And proceeded to leave me there talking to myself. I genuinely thought she was going to do something else after stopping to chat and exchange smiles with the employee that originally called her. Since she saw that I was as still waiting there she said “I already talked to you, I don’t know what else do you want ME to say.” Wow! She gave no opportunity to explain that the person listed there was undergoing surgery for an organ transplant (at that very moment!) and so probably wouldn’t be able to show up at the store to redeem this Home Depot card anytime soon. I saw that she had not the will to help and left the store to look for a store phone number trying to find someone who would. I called the general phone number and was directed to the service desk where a lady simply listened and was able to help me. As I was finishing the transaction the supervisor who originally ignored me came in and out of the customer service area in plain clothes probably eager to go take her break, looking surprised I was still there. I am not a contractor but I have visited the HD too many times to know this behavior from an employee is uncharacteristic. She made us waste a good 30 minutes just on this visit. Hopefully she can be trained in providing a normal level of customer service. Also, useful would be to do away with the red tape and stop listing names on gift cards or store credits.

The store was clean and marked for social distancing. Mark from Doors & Windows is a great employee very helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. Also cashier AJ was very nice and friendly.
