I make it a point to use the Bowie Home Depot location although I live closer to the Waldorf and drive right by the Upper Marlboro store to get to it. The associates are far more helpful and courteous in Bowie. John Tillery in particular is the most helpful Home Depot employee I have ever had the pleasure to encounter in the 25 years I've been shopping at the Depot.

Debbie Mendoza, Garden Department Supervisor happened to come by when I went into the store & I asked her to help me with an electrical part on a lamp. She was so nice & helpful & completely repaired the lamp. Outstanding person!!!!

April & Beth were paragons of professionalism; they were very knowledgeable & courteous!

The paint department was extremely busy but Tori managed to assist everyone with a smile. She was friendly, knowledgable, and polite. She provided superior customer service.

Sherri in the garden gave me great service! She was very helpful and pleasant and put my mind at ease about gardening. I have been back several times to purchase more items and I always look for her when I go and she remembers me and ask how the gardening is coming along.

I found what I wanted with minimal effort and was able to obtain a military discount at the checkout with no delay.

I found this Home Depot store clean, organized and the associated friendly and very helpful. I think that a kiosk that is situated as you come into the store that attracts your notice would be wonderful. This kiosk needs to provide where items are stocked, whether they are on the shelf, and contact an associate in the store that you inquired so that he or she would be in the area where the item is found. The associate; then, if waiting on another customer could still acknowledge the inquiring customer indicating that they are aware that you are there. This would be impressive and provide that WOW factor that customers want. This is so lacking in brick and mortar stores but seen in the home building industry. You have to discriminate your business from the rest so that people think of you and not another busy.

The store was well organized and very neat. Had no problem in making my purchase.

The store associates were very helpful and seemed genuinely interested in my questions.

If you need help loading, ask for Ray. We purchased a truckload of lumber last week and Ray was outside to help us load it. Ray is one of the friendliest and hard working associates I ever had the pleasure of meeting. He knows how to load a truck properly and quickly and get the customer back to their home improvement project.

I was helped by sn associate that was knowledgeable and answered my questions. good work.

Sales associate was a delight to work with, cashier was very friendly and fast. Just love the paint colors available.

This Home Depot seems to have more products to offer, especially outdoor products; flowers, dirt, tools, patio furniture, etc. I LOVED visiting the Bowie store. There are two other stores closer to my address but I want to make this store MY STORE.

Once in a great while, someone in the retail business steps up and makes you happy to have left your money at the store. Today, I had the great pleasure to spend no more than two minutes with a cashier at the Bowie Home Depot who restored my faith in retail. "Beth" was friendly and witty and made the whole experience of parting with my money pleasurable. Great job Beth!!!

Staff go out of their way to help you when you can't find what you are looking for.

The parking is huge and the staff is helpful and the restroom is clean .

I usually shop at the Oxon Hill Home Depot, but this location is above and beyond anything that is offered at the Oxon Hill location. The Sales associates at this location are friendly and professional. It's a pleasure to shop in a Home Depot where the Sale Associates take their job seriously and are willing to help a customer. It's worth it to drive the extra 10 miles to this Home Depot, than to deal with the Oxon Hill Home Depot.

I had 3 employees watch me load 20 16 by 16 patoi stones on a flat cart waiting for me to get out of their way so they could close down the aisle to forklift product in. Would not offer to help me. The older man did ask me how many I was getting, so he could figure out how long I was going to be in his way. 2 younger guys wer being trained and thought it was funny when the older 1 pushed my cart out of the way after loading 16 and I asked him what he was doing? He said he thought I was done. I told then that I had open heart surgery the year before and still got no help. There was only 1 cashier outside who was overwhelmed with a long line going through the garden center. I tried pushing my heavy cart through the store but the aisles were blocked. Took awhile to maneuver around all the pallets on the floor. The cashier I had was friendly, but obviously new. The patio stones did not come up at the sale price. I told her this. I said they were listed in the ad. She said they didn't have any ads up front. Really? I asked to speak to the manager. She was standing close by working the self checkout. She was friendly and apologetic. She said she had just taken over this store and was going to get things right. She also couldn't find a sales ad. I suggested to the cashier she look in her book for the identifying patio stone and scan the barcode. Huh? Total confusion. Didn't know what I was talking about. Said they were outside at the garden center. I shop a lot at Home Depot. I know they have product guides up front. After an eternity at the checkout I handed her a $10 Garden Center coupon. Uh Oh. Couldn't get it to scan the tiny printout barcode. I told her from previous experience at other stores that she would have to manually put in the numbers. She said they were too small and couldn't read them. She had to have another employee with glasses come over and read way to many numbers, to her. 3 attempts to get the numbers right. She was ecstatic when she finally got it right. Horrendous checkout experience. Always seems to go this way in this store. Outside I pulled my truck up to load it. There were 3 employees out there. 2 immediately disappeared. The 3rd, looked at my heavy cart of stones, bags of sand, etc. saw an old man and asked if he needed help. The man told him what he needed inside the store. So of course the employee, named William escorted him inside to show him where the item was. William had leather gloves on. So I knew he was supposed to be outside helping customers load their vehicles. It took me close to a half hour to load everything in my truck. It was 86 degrees and very humid. Again, I had had open heart surgery a year before. I passed William in the parking lot when I was leaving. He was retrieving shopping carts far away from where I was. I stopped, asked his name, (no name tag) and told him my displeasure of him ignoring me, and not helping me load my truck. He had the gall to say he didn't see me. I told him we looked right at each other and he helped the old man instead, who could have easily got help once inside the store. Busted! He apologized and was gone. I've never seen such bad service over and over as I do at this store. I do shop Home Depot all the time and I spend alot of money here. I try to go to 2 nearby stores in Upper Marlboro and Annapolis Maryland instead of the Bowie store. Now you understand why!

Got great help from associate in finding materials for home improvement project. Easy to find products. Staff were helpful and friendly. This is in stark contrast to their competitor across the street, where I went first...totally different in staff assistance and available product for my project.

Very friendly staff, smiles everywhere. Helpful and willing to ask if they can assist you even when you say just looking, they still engage you in conversation in order to help you. The gentlemen who does the keys not only demonstrated this but also had a good sense of humor as well. I was very pleased when I left even though I walked in a little grumpy.

I love this store because of the outstanding employees and ease of getting assistance.

The associates went out of their way to help me from the floor associates in the Garden Center to the check out person and ending with the lot attendant who loaded my vehicle. Great job Bowie Home Depot!
