I guess I am typical of every other employee in America, who toils and commutes long hours for minimal pay and NO salary increases, but I desperately needed enough mulch to cover the perimeter of my property; this has been a project in the works for all five years I have owned and lived in my home. I have BEGGED my bosses, who go to the Norwalk, Connecticut Home Depot at least once per week, all of whom own trucks, to PLEASE get me some mulch and bring it to my house and they would routinely laugh at me and refuse to help me. I do not drive and carrying one bag of mulch on my daily bus and train rides is awful and heavy and cumbersome; each bag weighs at least 40 pounds. I wanted at least 50 bags to cover my property with enough to spare to perform touch-ups next Springtime. As usual, they refused to help me. I have no family whatsoever and do not drive and one bag at a time has not been sufficient. I called Home Depot on Easter Sunday (2015) and was shocked they were open at the Bridgeport, Connecticut locale. I spoke with a lovely, professional and efficient woman to explain my dilemma named Neisha; thanking her for working on Easter. She said they could arrange for a delivery, but it would cost $65.00. I agreed because my situation had become dire. She explained somebody would be calling me during last week to arrange for payment and delivery and I was delighted to speak with a very enthusiastic gentleman named Desmond who did just that. He also allowed me to order a three-pack of filters for my furnace and what we call here at work: A slot sink. Desmond even graciously offered to allow me to have the model he hand onhand at the store for the $89.00 pricetag of a model I'd spotted online at the main Home Depot website. I was immeasurably touched and impressed because he seemed so happy to be helping me and he also took as much time as I needed in placing my order; especially in detailing the horrendous specifics of my agonizing commute and the limited amount of time I would be home to actually receive my order. Then I spoke to the equally efficient Jenny who took my credit card number. On Friday, I spoke with a lovely woman named Jenny who suggested waiting until Sunday due to the pending thunderstorm (Friday night) and Saturday wasn't possible to schedule the delivery. On Sunday, I was delighted to receive a call from a sweet young lady named Sammi who told me they were just loading up the truck with my items and to expect them shortly. I was thrilled as it was sufficiently early enough so I could spread all the mulch and still perform locale errands; I have only one day off per week. At 10:15AM, Sammi drove up with her friends and associates, George and Evan. I was literally shocked that they were THAT genuinely cheerful, ready and eager to assist me; I'd honestly thought I would have a curbside delivery, but there they were, HAPPILY unloading the truck and cheerfully asking me where I wanted those God-awful, heavy bags of mulch. I only took two bags off the truck and about died. I have a heart condition, but was determined to help because I so desperately needed and wanted that mulch for so LONG. They took great pains in carefully unloading the truck, SMILING THE ENTIRE TIME. I CANNOT thank you enough for ALL of your assistance.

I can always find what I'm looking for and the associates are always helpful, I've had free popcorn some visits, and there are a lot of trade experienced associates to help you, its always a good experience, the smiling friendly cashiers, the guys helping you get stuff in your car.

The store has improved greatly over the past year. I spend at least 5-7K a year there and was considering shopping at others in the area. Since the change seems to have come I will feel more comfortable shopping there. Good job and keep the registers open.

I was very disapointed with the cleaness of the parking lot. I made me not wanting to go into the store.

Your associate Kelton or Celton assisted me this time and I remember his being friendly and helpful from months ago, he is an asset to Home Depot, As well as Liz that was in the front of the store and directed me to exactly where I had to go to find the part I needed for my cabinet. she approached me with her pleasant and friendly self as I must have had that deer in the headlights, lost look in my face. I come back to your store because of Kelton being so helpful and friendly, as the Derby, CT store is much closer to my home than the Bridgeport Store, and now I found LIZ, or she found me, which added to the pleasure of visiting your Home Depot for all of my needs.

This is my local HD (less than 1 mile away). And this is BPT. Today was a day, because of my travels, I visited both the Trumbull CT store and BPT within 3 hours. The Trumbull store is newer, bigger, and cleaner all around, with a much easier parking lot layout and entry/exit. But really, the people aren't any better than my local BPT store--I've come to recognize some of them over the years--and I'm almost always able to find stuff I need. It's almost always messier, this I think having to do mainly with uncourteous customers re-arranging stock while rummaging, but the inventory is usually accurately reflected on HD.com, which is a big benefit. And everyone is nice to me if I ask for help. I've gotten some appliances delivered through this store: no problems. There is a marked difference in this store from 6-7 years past--you used to be treated like a criminal, the place was a pigsty, it was a last-resort kind of place. The current management should be proud of the turnaround. Yes, there are birds flying inside the store still, but what other HD has a great BBQ place outside? The Trumbull store might be show model of sorts (and I'll go back to it as needed), but it's sterile in many ways. And yes... I noticed the new aisle number signs, much better. Now if only HD could convince Bridgeport to repave Reservoir Avenue... I can dream, right?

This store is one of the most cleaned and all products are easy to find.. Also the worker help is great... I recommend visit this store in ur next visit . One of the best..
