What should I bring when moving into my college dorm?
We have all your dorm essentials. Get storage containers or moving boxes to transport your belongings, and be ready for residual dirt with disinfecting wipes and cleaning supplies. Bring a tub of spackling to fill old nail holes and Command adhesive hooks to hang string lights. Make the room your own with area rugs and wall decals. Power strips and extension cords let you place lamps, microwaves, and mini fridges where you need them. If you didn't get a new bookbag yet, we've got those, too.
How can I prepare my home for summer?
Make certain your home is equipped for summertime heat by replacing or repairing faulty components of your hardscaping. If water gets inside the crevices, you might be dealing with damage. Check bricks and cinder blocks for cracks, and ensure indoor ceiling tiles are free from missing pieces. On the outside of your home, examine roof shingles or metal roofs for damage or rust that may let water in. Keep gutters clear of debris to prevent excess water from backing up into your home when storms arrive. Lastly, vinyl siding and chimney caps should be changed out if they're in poor condition.
What's your selection of moving boxes like?
Pick up a variety of moving boxes to make storage and moving easier. We've got the sizes you're looking for, including specialty ones like wardrobe and TV boxes. Cushion any and all items with bubble cushion and moving blankets to ensure your belongings make it safely. Look into our moving truck rentals, too, and take care of your DIY move needs in one place.
Why should I get a generator?
Restore electricity in your home even after severe storms and wind take it out. We've got the options you need when searching for a generator for sale. Inverter generators are quieter and cleaner than traditional portable generators. They adjust to whatever power load is requested. This means they'll make less noise in times of lesser demand. When shopping for generators, keep in mind that portable generators are more affordable and generate more electricity than inverter generators, but they're heavier and louder. Always run your generators outside, away from windows and doors, for safety purposes.
Do you have doorbell cameras?
Enjoy peace of mind, privacy, and safety with a wired or wireless doorbell camera. Stop peeking through a peephole or window when you can watch human or animal visitors in real time. Some doorbell cams even let you talk to whoever is on your doorstep via your phone, a useful interaction for delivery people or to scare off wannabe porch pirates. Several cameras integrate with your smart home app or hub to give you flexible accessibility. Choose to save video clips for future reference as it suits you.
What's this month's project for the free Kids Workshop?
Head to our Kids Workshop on 8/1/2026, from 9–noon or while supplies last. It's time to assemble a pint-sized rocket game! Your little builder can put together their very own rocket game craft — like a real rocketship but kid-sized. Don't forget to leave some time to watch your rocket climb the ladder into orbit!
