Recycling at The Home Depot

Did you know?

Our store diverts waste from landfills by accepting rechargeable batteries, plastic plant pots, CFLs, and lead acid batteries for recycling.

Our stores sent approximately 5.3M pounds of shredded paper for recycling in 2022. This has helped the planet by preserving over 63.5K trees. It kept over 16K trash bags of solid waste out of landfills, saved over 50M gallons of water, and conserved 7.8M kilowatt hours of electricity.

Since 2010, we have decreased electricity consumption by over 52% in our U.S. stores.

The Home Depot's core values are based on doing the right thing for our customers and associates, and this commitment extends beyond our stores to our local communities, as well as the environment. We are your partners in environmental sustainability. Read more about our commitment to economic responsibility.

This store is by far the worst Home Depot I have ever been to from the time you pull in the parking lot to the time you leave the parking lot you have the commercial pick up with trucks and a bunch of labor workers blocking the entrance. It should be the other way around where the garden center is is where they should have the commercial pick up not in the front when truck cars are trying to get in, and the workers are blocking everything harassing you for money it’s an accident waiting to happen but for me it really don’t matter because I will never ever shop at this Home Depot again
Thank you Chelsea and Jennifer for helping me with my issues and solving them. You are some great blessings.
Returns staff are rude and condescending. No one in the store wants to help.
Property likened to a Refugee camp
This store was always a pleasure to come to but lately it has become a gathering site of many men, at times close to 50. This exterior impression is not conducive to safety on the outside. It's a shame that a good store could be negatively impacted because of its exterior environment. People as my self and other community residence prefer to go to New Rochelle where you don't have large gathering of men on Home Depot property.
            Paint recycle charges
I am not happy about the charges I paid to recycle paint cans. I spent almost $20. I don’t recycle paint cans at Home Depot. I believe this is robbery
              Everything is brand new
I bought a filter last year and Mr. still working
Very bad experience with an employee
An employee called me a dumb A-Hole I believe his name was Benjamin
Jennifer from pro gave excellent assistance. I admire her hard work everytime I come in to purchase.
