The Home Depot Rental Center at College Place

Take on any DIY project with the right tools — even if you don't have them on hand. Rent the tools, use them, and return them when you're done. Complete your project without cluttering up shed or garage storage with tools you rarely reach for.

Tool and Equipment Rental
Using The Home Depot College Place Tool Rental Center can expand the scope of your DIY projects. You won't be limited by only what you have on hand or have to settle for untrustworthy hand-me-down tools. Complete your project confidently and safely by renting quality tools. If your local store doesn't have the tool you need in stock, you may be able to find it at another one within driving distance.

Tame the Lawn and Greenery Early
Greet the spring with outdoor power equipment rentals and whip the yard into shape again. Neaten the lawn and bushes with rental lawn mowers and edgers, and get that driveway and sidewalk clean again with a pressure washer rental. Your outdoor oasis will be looking fresh and ready for new spring flowers in no time.

Add Insulation When the Weather is Cooler
To make your home more energy efficient, update your insulation in the spring, if possible — before it gets dangerously hot in your attic. Rent equipment made for insulation to get it installed correctly. Choose from a cellulose insulation blower or a fiberglass blower, and insulate those nooks and crannies with ease. Installing insulation keeps your home cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter, all while tempering your heating and cooling bills.

Truck Rental
For your transport needs, we keep flatbed trucks and box trucks on hand — with availability varying by store. We'll have the correct size truck rental for your DIY project so you can keep your timeline running smoothly. As your source for storage needs, DIY projects, and packing, it's smart to make us your source for transport and moving as well.

To get transportation and tools for your home improvement or DIY project, check out The Home Depot College Place Tool and Truck Rental Center. Having the appropriate tools for the job makes a difference. We're your one-stop-shop to get from doing to done.

Frequently Asked Questions about Rentals

How do I rent tools or trucks?

Stop by the Rental Center at your nearest Home Depot to see what's available. If you'd like to be sure of what's in stock, call first to inquire about a truck or tool. You might also visit our tool and equipment rental or truck rental pages to see if what you need is at your store. For more details on renting tools, read the Tool Rental FAQs, including terms and conditions for the equipment.

Can I rent a tool for a day?

You can rent a tool for four hours or more. It depends on how long you'd like to rent them. Small home improvement jobs may only require a short rental period, and bigger jobs aren't a problem either. You've got options to rent tools by the day, month, or week, too. If you need it longer than your initial rental period, call your Rental Center for an extension and avoid late fees.

When do I return the tools?

You're welcome to return the tools early if you finish your project ahead of schedule, but on-time works, too. Just make sure to bring them back by the deadline listed on your rental paperwork. Please clean off residual dust, mud, and grime from the tool as well. If you need it longer, call your local rental center to see if you can extend your rental period.

How long can I rent a truck?

Rent a box truck, cargo van, or flatbed truck for as long as you need it. For short trips, 75 minutes might be enough time. Otherwise, consider renting it by the week or the day, depending on how long your project is. Don't forget to factor in the drive between the job site and the store, as you'll need to bring it back to the same store where you rented it. Penske moving truck rentals allow round-trip options as well as one-way options, and they have different terms. Make sure to read the provided documentation before choosing your truck.

Do I need to refuel the rental truck when I'm done?

Yes, please fill up the truck before you bring it back. Match the amount of gas that was in the tank when you got the rental. If you don't, you'll be hit with a penalty known as the fuel replacement charge.

Do I just need a driver's license to rent a truck?

No, you must hold a valid driver's license and be over the age of 21. Depending on your state, you might require car insurance, as well as a credit card hold or a deposit, too. Please bring your credit card for Home Depot truck rentals, as we don't accept cash. Penske moving truck rentals have different requirements.
