Can I fix drafty windows?

As the years pass, windows settle and may not fit as snugly as they did before. Check if they're drafty by bringing an incense stick to the window. If you can see the smoke swirl around the window, the cold air is getting in. Fill obvious spaces around windows with caulk. If your windows aren't snug in the frames anymore, use foam tape, weather stripping, or even a window insulation kit with sealing film to keep out cold air. Replace the windows as soon as possible.

What projects can I work on when the weather's cold?

When the temperatures drop outside, it's challenging to work outdoors. However, cleaning up the yard before spring gives the earth time to settle before plants start growing again. An afternoon organizing and cleaning the shed, garage, or basement will pay off when the weather warms. You won't have to replace lost tools with new ones because you can find what you've got. Polish up the tools, clean the rest of the house with cleaning supplies, and you'll be ready when the weather warms.

How can chainsaws help with yard and tree cleanup?

If you didn't clean up yard debris or fallen branches in the fall, do it when the weather warms. Use chainsaws to remove broken or dead branches from trees. It'll give new growth room to flourish. Oil up your Milwaukee chainsaw before using it, and swap out any dull or rusted chains. Whether you've got an electric chainsaw or gas chainsaw, please leave tree removal to the pros. Trees already on the ground can be cut up and burned for firewood.

Great customer service

I came in with broken / rusted hose bibb stuck on a pipe (attached to additional fittings), assuming I'd have to replace the whole thing. Instead, Joe busted out some wrenches and helped me remove the broken hose bib and got me the replacement valve.

Fast Water Heater purchased and installed .

Amazing Home Depot

I love it here!

This Home Depot is great! I feel safe here, and welcomed. If I have a project I come and ask questions and everyone is always so friendly and helpful. This is not the closest to me, but it’s my first choice when I need an item or 2.

A couple issues

I looked for a lighting item I needed, and although the store said it had 2 left, they clip it find it when I went. ALSO, I asked an employee to grab me a locked electrical tool and he said he’d take it to the front for me , as is proceedure. When I went to pay for my items, the cashier could not find the tool and after paging electrical no one ever came. I left. The cashier was awesome and tried everything for me. Everyone was knowledgeable and I love this particular store. However, I value my free time when I’m not working, and I expect what I give…quality, union pride work.
