The Home Depot Rental Center at Deerwood

When it's time to make the leap into a big home improvement project, you might not have everything you need in the garage or shed. Don't let that stop you when you can stop by The Home Depot Miami Rental Center for tools, trucks, and large equipment.

Tool Rental
Start your DIY project with the right tools for the job. Let The Home Depot Tool Rental Center in Deerwood expand your tool belt with the items you don't have on hand. Rent the tools you need and return them when the job is finished. If those rental tools just went from wanted to needed, we have used tools available to buy. The retired rental tools are discounted compared to the new items in our aisles.

Leaf Blowers
Try renting a leaf blower to keep up with your lawn. Fall will be here soon, so have a leaf blower at the ready. It's far less work than raking them into piles. It's also easier on driveways, concrete sidewalks, and hardscaping surfaces. Choose from handheld, backpack, or walk-behind leaf blowers.

Insulation
To make your home more energy efficient, upgrade your insulation. Rent specialized equipment for insulation to install it the right way. Choose from a fiberglass blower or a cellulose insulation blower, and get those nooks and crannies insulated with ease. Installing insulation helps to keep your home nice and cool in the summer and warm and cozy in the winter, all while tempering your heating and cooling bills.

Heaters
If you dislike working or being outside in cooler temps, check out our heater rentals. Portable heaters keep outdoor events, barns, or workspaces warm. They're safer than torch patio heaters because portable heaters have no open flame, and they also blow the hot air for greater coverage. We carry electric, propane, and gas heaters in various sizes. Couple this with good outdoor lighting and a jacket, and you can extend work or play well into the evening with the extra warmth.

Truck and Cargo Van Rentals
To make it easier to transport large tool rentals, we keep trucks of all kinds and cargo vans on hand. Although availability varies by store, we offer a selection ranging from pickups to flatbed trucks to cargo vans. Choose the correct size for your project so you can keep your timeline on track. As your source for DIY projects, storage needs, and packing, it's easy to make us your go-to source for truck rental as well.

Large Equipment Rentals
Handle expansive projects with the right professional equipment. Our large equipment rentals give you the power you need to finish the job yourself. From the boom and scissor lifts to give you a boost to the mini excavators and mini skid steers for hauling materials, we've got a surprising variety of equipment available. If a large equipment rental could help you, explore and see what we've got in stock.

Although we're calling out popular tool, truck, and large equipment rentals, not everything is available at every rental center. If you've got a particular tool in mind, please contact your local rental center to see where you can pick it up.

Frequently Asked Questions about Rentals

How do I rent a piece of large equipment, a tool, or a truck?

Stop by your local Rental Center to see what's available. If you'd like confirmation before you get there, call first to inquire about a truck, large equipment, or tool. You could also check out our tool and equipment rental or truck rental pages to see if what you need is offered at your favorite store. For more info on renting tools or large equipment, read the Tool Rental FAQs, including equipment terms and conditions.

Can I choose how long to rent a truck?

Rent a truck or cargo van for as long as you need it. For short trips, 75 minutes could be enough time. Otherwise, consider renting it by the week or the day, depending on the length of your project. Be sure to factor in the drive between the job site and the store, as you'll need to bring it back to the same store you rented it from. Penske moving truck rentals allow round-trip options as well as one-way options, and they have different terms. Make sure to review the contract and the terms and conditions before you choose a truck.

When do I need to return the tools?

You can return the tools early if you finish your project sooner than predicted, but on time works, too. As long as you return it by the deadline you were given when you rented it, you'll be good to go. Please clean any built-up dirt from the tool as well. If you need it longer, call the rental center to see if you can extend your rental period.

Do saw rentals come with saw blades?

Yes, power saw rentals generally come with blades, but we do recommend that you buy your own. You'll likely not get a sharp blade when you rent, as most people won't leave one on there when they return it. However, you may luck out and have a sharpened blade on the saw. Since there's no guarantee, it's better to buy a suitable blade, just in case you need it.

Do I need to refill the rental truck with gas?

Yes, please fill up the truck before you return it. Note the amount of gas in the tank when you receive the truck, and be sure to fill it with enough gas to match that same level. When you don't refill the truck, you have to pay a penalty known as the fuel replacement charge.

Can I rent a truck or large equipment with only a driver's license?

No, you also need to be 21 or older, in addition to holding a valid driver's license. Depending on your state, you might require car insurance, as well as a deposit or credit card hold, too. We do not accept cash for Home Depot truck rentals, so please bring your credit card. Penske moving truck rentals have different requirements, so read those if you plan to rent a Penske truck. Some tools and large equipment also require ID verification via CLEAR.

How do I get my large equipment rental?

Depending on your location, you can get large equipment delivered straight to your job site for an affordable rate — whether that's out in the field or at your own home. We'll need at least 24 hours' notice so we can adequately prep your rental delivery for you, and you'll need to rent it for a full day. In places where delivery isn't available, speak to one of our knowledgeable associates for the best way to get your large equipment.

What are some ways to avoid penalties and extra fees on rented large equipment?

Treat your rented large equipment as any other vehicle: Make sure it's parked legally and that you obey traffic laws. Read the operator's manual so you're using it correctly to avoid injuring yourself or damaging the equipment. Also, plan ahead to ensure the equipment is ready when you are. If you cancel within 12 hours of your scheduled delivery, you'll pay a cancellation fee. Extend your rental period if you need extra time so you won't get hit with a late fee.
