The Home Depot Rental Center at E Vancouver, WA

When it's time to make the leap into a big DIY project, you might not have everything you need in the garage or shed. Don't let that stop you when you can stop by The Vancouver Rental Center for tools, trucks, and large equipment.

Tool Rental
Start your next home improvement project with confidence and the best tools for the job. Let The Home Depot Vancouver Tool Rental Center expand your toolbox with the tools you don't have at home. Rent the tools you need and bring them back when the job is done. If those rental tools just went from wanted to needed, we have used tools available for purchase. Compared to the new items on our store shelves, they're discounted.

Leaf Blowers
Try renting a leaf blower to keep up with your yard. Fall will be here in no time, so have a leaf blower at the ready. It's much easier than raking. It's also easier on hardscaping surfaces, concrete sidewalks, and driveways. Clear your yard by using walk-behind, handheld, or backpack leaf blowers.

Generators
Whether you're running a large welding machine or working in a remote location, you'll likely need to rent a generator. Generators also keep basic electrical appliances running if the power goes out. Make life easier during fieldwork or after extreme weather knocks out your power.

Heaters
If you dislike working or being outside in cooler temps, browse our heater rentals. Portable heaters keep outdoor events, barns, or workspaces warm. They are safer than torch patio heaters because portable heaters don't have an open flame, and they also blow the hot air for greater coverage. We carry electric, propane, and gas heaters in various sizes. Couple this with nice outdoor lighting and a jacket, and you can extend work or play well into the evening hours with the extra warmth.

Truck and Cargo Van Rentals
For your transport needs, we keep cargo vans and trucks of all kinds ready for rental, with availability varying by store. You're sure to find the right size truck rental for your DIY project so you can keep your timeline running smoothly. As your source for DIY projects, packing, and storage needs, it's easy to make us your go-to source for truck rental as well.

Large Equipment Rentals
Handle massive projects with the right professional equipment. Our large equipment rentals give you the power you need to finish the job yourself. From the boom and scissor lifts to give you a boost to the mini excavators and mini skid steers for hauling materials, we've got an expansive variety of equipment available. If a large equipment rental could help you, explore and see what we have in stock.

Although we're mentioning popular tool, truck, and large equipment rentals, not everything is available at every rental center. If you have a particular tool in mind, please contact your local rental center to see where you can pick it up.

Frequently Asked Questions about Rentals

How do I rent a piece of large equipment, a tool, or a truck?

Stop by your local Rental Center to see which tools or trucks you can rent. If you'd like to know what's in stock, call first to inquire about a truck, tool, or large equipment. You could also check out our tool and equipment rental or truck rental pages to see if what you need is offered at your favorite store. For more info on renting tools or large equipment, read the Tool Rental FAQs, including equipment terms and conditions.

How long can I rent a truck?

Rent a truck or cargo van for as long as you need it. For short trips, 75 minutes could be enough time. Otherwise, consider renting it by the day or the week, depending on the length of your project. Be sure to factor in the drive between the job site and the store, as you'll need to bring it back to the same store you rented it from. Penske moving truck rentals allow round-trip options as well as one-way options, and they have different terms. Make sure to check out the documentation before choosing your truck.

When can I bring the tools back?

You can return the tools early if you finish your project ahead of schedule, but on time works, too. As long as you return it by the deadline you were given when you rented it, you'll be good to go. Please clean off any residual dust, mud, and grime from the tool as well. If you need them longer, give the rental center a call to see if you can extend your rental period.

Do saw rentals come with saw blades?

Yes, power saw rentals generally come with blades, but we do recommend that you purchase your own. Your rental likely won't come with a new blade. However, you might get lucky and receive an excellent one. As there's no guarantee, it's better to buy a suitable blade, just in case you need it.

Do I need to refill the rental truck with gas?

Yes, please fuel up the truck before you return it. Note the original fuel level when you receive the truck, and be sure to fill it with enough gas to match that same level. When you don't refill the truck, you have to pay a penalty known as the fuel replacement charge.

Do I just need a driver's license to rent a truck or large equipment?

No, you must hold a valid driver's license and be 21 or older. Depending on your state, you might require car insurance, as well as a deposit or credit card hold, too. We don't accept cash for Home Depot truck rentals, so please bring your credit card. Penske moving truck rentals have different requirements, so read those if you plan to rent a Penske truck. Some tools and large equipment also require ID verification via CLEAR.

How do I get my large equipment rental?

Depending on your location, you can get large equipment delivered straight to your job site for a reasonable cost — whether that's out in the field or at your own home. We'll need at least 24 hours' notice so we can adequately prep your rented equipment, and you'll need to rent it for a full day. In places where delivery isn't available, speak to an associate for the best way to get your large equipment.

How do I avoid penalties and extra fees on my large equipment rentals?

Treat your rented large equipment as any other vehicle: Make sure it's parked legally and that you obey traffic laws. Read the operator's manual so you're using it correctly to avoid damaging the equipment or injuring yourself. Also, plan ahead to ensure the equipment is ready when you are, as cancelling within 12 hours of delivery means you'll incur a cancellation fee. Extend your rental period if you need extra time so you won't get hit with a late fee.
