Kick off your home improvement project with confidence and the correct tools. Let The Home Depot El Toro Tool Rental Center fill in the gaps in your toolbelt with the tools you don't have at home. You can rent a tool and return it when you've completed the project. If it turns out the rental tools would be more useful than you thought, inquire about buying our retired rental tools. The retired rental tools are discounted compared to the new items in our aisles.

Tame the Lawn and Greenery
Lighten the load with outdoor power equipment rentals. Neaten the yard with a lawn mower rental and the driveway and sidewalks with a pressure washer. Your outdoor oasis will be refreshed before you know it.

Rent Concrete Mixers to Finish That Project
Finally cross those outdoor jobs off your to-do list with a concrete mixer rental. Bigger projects need larger mixers. You can even rent a mixer that can be towed behind your truck. We also offer concrete saw rentals and grinders in various sizes.

Load 'N Go Trucks
If you're looking to rent a large tool but don't have a way to get it home, we can help with that, too. Check out our Load 'N Go rental vehicles and rent a truck. No need to worry about taking up valuable room in the driveway with an old pickup for the rare occasion of hauling items. Just rent a moving truck and keep your driveway open for hopscotch, grilling, or a round of hoops.

How do I rent trucks and tools?

Stop by the Rental Center at your nearest Home Depot to see what trucks and tools are up for rent. If you want to be sure of what's in stock, call first to inquire about a truck or tool. You could also visit our truck rental or tool rental pages to see if what you need is carried at your store. For more info on renting tools, read these Tool Rental FAQs, including equipment terms and conditions.

How long can I rent tools?

Tool rentals start at four hour time slots. Simply choose the length of time that suits you. Small home improvement jobs may only require a rental for a few hours, and long-term projects can also be accomodated. You've got options to rent tools by the week, day, or month, too. If you need it longer than anticipated, call the Rental Center to arrange an extension and avoid late fees.

When do I return the tools?

It's fine to return the tools early if you complete your project faster than planned, but on-time works, too. As long as you return it by the deadline you were given when you rented it, you'll be good to go. Please clean off mud and grime from the tool as well. If you need them longer, call the rental center to see if you can extend your rental period.

Can I rent a truck for a few hours?

Rent a truck or moving van for as long as you need it. For short trips, 75 minutes might be enough time. Otherwise, consider renting it by the week or the day, depending on the length of your project. Remember to factor in the drive between the job site and the store, as you'll need to bring it back to the same store where you rented it. Penske moving truck rentals allow round-trip options as well as one-way options, and they have different terms. Be sure to read the provided documentation before selecting a vehicle.

Do I need to refill the rental truck with gas?

Yes, please fuel up the truck before you bring it back. Make a note of the original fuel level when you receive the truck, and fill it with enough gas to match that same level. If you don't, you'll have to pay a penalty known as the fuel replacement charge.

Do I just need a driver's license to rent a truck?

No, you also need to be 21 or older, in addition to holding a valid driver's license. Depending on your state, you may require car insurance, as well as a credit card hold or a deposit, too. We don't accept cash for Home Depot truck rentals, so please bring your credit card. Penske moving truck rentals have different requirements.
