I'm a long term Elk Grove HomeDepot customer. I came in the store looking for something to add height to the front legs of my sewing machine trolley. What I needed was not going to make HomeDepot rich by any means, but the young store associate went above and beyond the call of duty to help me find what I could use. It was a really impressive experience and added to my over all positive feelings about the store.

The parking lot was clear of carts which made parking easy. Having fence repair and hardware items to return without a receipt was initially uncomfortable but after I explained, it was easy. The professional friendly clerk understood, cleared my request and issued store credit. I used my store credit to purchase needed items (bulbs, sundries, garden tools). I got what I needed and only spend $2 over my credit. Quick in and out hassle-free.

I was dreading shopping for a new washer and dryer. I was helped immediately and led to a large screen computer to comparison shop all of the brands....impressive! it really helped. Plus an associate was hovering around me ready to help, which I did call on her more than once:) I found what I needed in size and price range so I was ready to purchase. You can order right there at the computer as if you were home on line, but she took me to her desk and I was able to order in person, which I prefer.. We set a date for delivery, which was flexible enough for me. We were able to laugh and talk and have fun with each other, so I will always go say HI to Juanita whenever I go into the store.

The cashiers are very nice. They are always there to help you. The store is very well organized and clean.

This store is a mess. There is stuff blocking every isle. It is hard to find any knowledgeable help. I would gladly spend more money at any other store.

I came in on a busy Sunday and had a wonderful time picking up my supplies I needed from the time I walked in to the time I left! There was a small line at the returns desk but it moved very quickly because a third girl opened up a register to help out. I am sorry I didn't get her name, she was so sweet and cheerful! Next I needed help in Electrical and had this very nice, wonderful man , Jack, take his time to assist me. I was off to a great start! I needed to pick up a few items in the hardware department and am happy to say that even though I didn't need any help, there were several very nice young men working the aisle and greeted me with a smile and offered help. Lastly I had a cashier by the name of Clyde. After ringing my items up, we had a bit of a problem with my credit card. My husband and I have different last names, I am a signer on the card. I understand that can be confusing and understood when she called a mgr. to get approval. Apparently she was told they would not approve my purchase,At that point I was a little embarrassed and irritated, not at her, but the fact that she was not told to call the credit line and verify that I am authorized as a signer. Once I asked her to, she had a line mgr. come over and assist. Bottom line, Clyde was exceptionally nice throughout and after all was good , she gave me a 5% discount as a gesture for the troubles. I appreciated that! I left the store a happy customer!!

The sales associates in Appliances were amazing, especially Kathy. I talked to her about two weeks ago about refrigerators and washer/dryers, and when I returned over the weekend (twice) she remembered exactly who I was and what I was looking for. She helped me through 3 hours of trying to figure out which products would be best for me and my family. She was very well informed and had a great personality; an absolute pleasure to work with. I asked for honest, straight forward answers and that's what she gave me. I hadn't purchased these types of large items in over 15 years and was very behind on all the new features and upgrades. Working together we managed to get me exactly what I needed and was even able to inform me about sales that were coming in order to save some money. All of your associates should be as helpful and knowledgeable as she was. it would make shopping a real pleasure each time I walk in to a Home Depot. If it wasn't for Kathy, I would not have purchased the items at Home Depot. She was the sole reason for the over $3000 purchase!

I used the website before going to the store. The product was on display and a very helpful and knowledgeable employee helped me right away. He answered questions I had that I did not ask on the website. I was very happy with the availability and price. Excellent experience.

The store is clean but, the isles are cluttered with merchandise that makes it difficult to get to some of the merchandise and get a cart down the isles. It must be a friendly place because people are always bringing their dogs in with them. I saw one guy with 4 dogs! I wonder who cleans up after them...

Joey and Brian in the Hardware Department ( 25 ) were extremely helpful and knowledgeable when I visited the store on 11/8/15 Joey helped me find everything I needed and more and Brian helped us figure out a few things to do with all I was purchasing. They were right there to load my pick up and I came home a very satisfied customer that evening. That was the best service/help I have had in a very long long time. Great employees and assets to the store/company

Three times in a row, I've gone to get plumbing parts (valves, couplers, etc) and they were out. Even trying to get multiple parts, e.g. unions, T's, etc. to "manufacture" the solution and some of these parts are out; brass and kitchen water supply valves. To get an important/urgent job done you have to have an "ugly" application of multiple parts to get the needed solution. Been going to this store since it opened (maybe 15 years) and will keep going back but this is very annoying and no one seems to have a solution.

Went to another Local hardware store, and they didn't have what I needed. Went to Home Depot, and found EVERYTHING I needed for bathroom and laundry room renovation! It was WAY less expensive than the other store. Thank You, Home Depot for keeping your prices down, and hiring great help!

After having experienced terrible customer service previously at this same location I was pleasantly surprised today. The staff was friendly, available and helpful. Thank you Home Depot for the improved service.

I was very pleased with the customer service at this location...especially with Eli. He was attentive, patient and knowledgeable. He helped us with picking up a washer and dryer set. We highly recommend anyone wanting great service to go to him.

Had all the parts needed for me to fix my water heater that sprung a bad leak. Saved me whatever it would have cost to hire a repair man. Got in and out in only a few minutes.

i go to this store a lot, this visit was a lil different. it is generally a good experience when i shop here but this time i have a broken foot. i got to the front of the store, grabbed my shopping cart, put my crutches in basket, and tried to hop in on one foot while pushing the cart haha. i got inside and saw an employee on the first aisle i walked into. he immediately grabbed my cart for me, pushed it around, asked what i needed and walked me straight to the items. i needed a bundle of 10' pvc pipe, he took it for me. he knew exactly where the other 5-6 items were at and didnt need to waste my energy searching for them. He knew which options would work better for me. he walked me to register, pushed cart to my car, loaded everything for me. great guy. just wanted to publicly say thanks to Armando in Elk Grove Home Depot.

I went in specifically looking for new hardware for my front door and luckily found an associate who not only knew what he was talking about but was extremely friendly as well. He gave me his full, undivided attention which I very much appreciated. Thank you Brian so much! I will definitely look for you for advice on other projects !! Also Susan , outdoor cashier, always so friendly .I did have several young male employees walk by with that blank look on their faces, avoiding eye contact .That always drives me crazy! The store on a positive note was super clean.

Sales associate in the Pro Services area was really helpful in finding materials and supplies I was looking for.

There is does not appear such a thing as customer service when young people are your employees. They don't remember a time when people were helpful or cared about their customers. They are so busy visiting with one another that they are not available to assist, nor do they appear to care to. People are busy and have many things to do and are often on a timeline and can't wait for help that takes 15 minutes. I'm a 64-year old woman and I ended up chucking my own bags of bark into my car. If we continue to accept this kind of service by supporting stores like this, then we condone this kind of service. I don't, and would rather pay a little bit more and actually be assisted by someone who was knowledgeable, helpful and cared.
