I love this Home Depot!! Good energy in the workers and nice cashiers always smiling. Nice and neat and you can find anything easily.

Ron in electrical was outstanding this evening. Throughout his entire assistance he never lost that smile and willingness to help.

I was visiting our children in Chicago and needed a few minor items to help them with some home improvement tasks. I also wanted to check their stock for an item I need at our lake home in Wisconsin. Although one employee took the time to say "Hi." To me as I passed him, several others in the departments I visited seemed to be more interested in talking to each other instead of asking me if I needed help as I passed them several times while I hunted for what I needed. In the Lighting area, I chased down an employee to inquire about an item on display that was CLEARLY mis-identified on the board and didn't seem to be available on the shelves. He seemed just as perplexed as I was, but didn't appear to be interested in finding the answer or solving my problem. I've become used to less-than-stellar customer service at the two other Home Depots I routinely visit but this store managed to dig deep and be an even bigger disappointment.

This is a wonderful Home Depot. All the staff are excellent -- super service oriented and cheerful. I am so happy with this store.

For convenience, this store is great. (Though now that they put a Mattress store within the parking lot, it is not as hassle free as it once was.). This Home Depot has outrageously inconsistent service. Some days, the employees go far out of their way to find that thing you are looking for, others, you can starve in the aisle waiting for help. I recently had a gift card issue at the self-check out. The employee attendant couldn't be bothered to give me assistance. Instead, she said my card was invalid and kept her distance. When I went to the regular cashier, she also had a problem, but rather than just denying the card and asking for different payment, she used a different register. Bingo. Home Depot technical error. My card, and its $255 balance, were still valid. Just as I knew it was. But self-check out lady gave me the brush off. Look, I realize that working retail for minimum wage is probably not what she wants to be doing, but being rude to me isn't going to help. I wasn't rude to you. Ms. Knighta found a solution and was happy to do it. Self-check out lady went back to checking her smartphone.

My recommendation comes with a caveat that it is only because this store is better than the other ones in the area. I am still disappointed every time I need assistance in the amount of time it takes and the fact that there are whole sections of the store 4 or 5 aisles large that don't have anyone working in or near them most of the time. The people who do work here are friendly and knowledgeable when you can find one who isn't busy or wait for one to finish.

The employees are always friendly and greet you with a smile when I come to the store. We always have a good laugh and joke before I go that makes my day.
