Friendly service

I generally like this store, good service, good stock, helpful people! However, this spring (2017) they have decided that it is no longer a good idea to put mulch in the parking lot to make it easy for customers to load mulch. I buy 100+ bags of mulch a year, usually 20 bags at a time. Let me tell you that it is NOT easy to load a cart with 20 bags from the back of the garden center, drag those 20 bags up to a register, pay, then drag the cart out into the parking lot and load all 20 into my vehicle. Further, because I'm buying so many bags, I purposely try to go at non-busy times (usually early morning or late evening), when it's difficult to find someone available to help load. So I end up doing ALL the work myself. This was much easier and pleasant when I could run in and pay (usually while buying something else), then drive right up to the pallet, load my mulch, and go! Whoever made the decision to stop this practice --> BAD DECISION for customer service. I'm looking for alternatives for buying my mulch, although will likely continue shopping this store for everyday purchases (for big stuff, probably looking elsewhere since it's obvious they don't really care much about customer convenience).

Not only will folks in the store tell you where things are, they will give you suggestions on what would work best, their suggestion is based on their experience and trade knowledge, not because a brand is pushing them to sell it.

Helped turn a stressfull situation into an easy solution. He cared about my concerns and got creative to temporarily fix a problem until a professional could come out.

I went to this store to replace string for my Ryobi string trimmer. I took an empty roll to match it as I have consistently done since I bought the trimmer at this store. This time, however, I could not find an exact match for the string, except for a roll that was unpackaged and for which the price was unmarked. I took the "almost" match and the exact, but unwrapped matches to the check-out counter. There, the cashier took my question - "Will this close match work in my string trimmer? - seriously and asked a series of workers in the store if they could answer my question, culminating with the store manager. As it turns out, no one could answer my question, but the store manager gave me - for free! - the near match (for which he could have charged me) and the unpriced exact match. I wasn't angry. The store manager didn't have to give me the product for free. He just did it because he wanted me to have a good experience and he couldn't answer my question. I was surprised and very pleased!

In the carpet area, the employee helped with information on a specific carpet and the availability on hand.

Store was clean. Had exactly what I was looking for. Items were easy to find, and clearly marked. Staff was accommodating and courteous.

I waltzed into the store. Return booth was right there so I approached the man servicing the booth and he very patiently went on with question after question in finding my purchase need to be met. Sent me exactly where I needed to go !! It was amazing and very thoughtful of him to spend so much time in the detail necessary to find just what I needed !! My request was unusual and inventive in the type hardware that I required-- as unable to purchase an already useful set item to meet my need. I went back later to proudly show him what he helped me find and he was replaced by two different staff. Was he an Angel set up just for me? Made my day for sure !

The help started from the front door when another department associate offered to switch places with the lumber associate so that he could help me..to the young man who got a trolley for me.,..to James who offered a solution as to how to cut my door..to the amazing guys in Tool Rental (Adam) who helped..,to the associate in Tools who gave me a tutorial on my own tool. It was a Sunday and everywhere I turned there was help to be found. As a single woman, it was an amazingly productive day of me getting the help I needed all in one place!

I came in with the hardest request and Stephen found these specific staples that were hidden!

The guys in the rental department are super friendly and have great attitudes. Definitely need raises for the awesome job they do!

As usual with this location, there are always friendly and helpful employees available if one should need assistance. The store always has a good selection of products and a working quantity on hand. It is a great store for homeowners, DIY'ers, and contractors to get what they need for their tasks.

I had a lot of different tasks that I had to finish and required items I needed help locating. I had no trouble finding the help that I had needed and the friendly conversation that helped my day go better. With a great price and a smile on my face when I exited this store I was especially satisfied. I will go back again soon.
