Lengthy and painful water heaters installation experience
I bought two water heaters two weeks ago and had a plumbing company to pick them up for installations. One has obvious damages when I saw it so we went to the store for an exchange. There were only two left in the store but all were open boxes and all have scratches. We settled on the least scratches one but after the installation, I noticed it was made 4 years ago so it gave me problem to register for its warranty. After some back and forth, I finally settled down its warranty but days later, the other water heater started to leak. I had a plumber to disconnect the leaking one to swap for a new one in the store but had to pay $30 for the swap of the same model with the same price for unknown reason. Finally, on my 6th trip to the store, the manager approved to return the $30 back to me. I thought replacing my near end-of-life water heaters would be straightforward but I will think twice next time where to buy them. The only positive impression of my experience this time was there were two supervisors: Sheila & Allen who help me out on my warranty issue by talking to the manufacturer on the phone to settle this. They are wonderful employees but other than that my experience was lengthy and painful.

I hope I got your name right, if not I apologize for not remember it correctly.

              Tawheed is so rude
I had an interaction with Tawheed at the returns counter Jan26, 2024 6:20pm. He has a big attitude. He’s very rude, didn’t say “hello, goodbye, thank you” or any common courtesy words. Just scanned and handed me the receipt after asking “what’s wrong with it?” with an annoyed tone like a robot. The robots that I see at some hotels and restaurants did a better job. The other female at the returns counter seems unpleasant too. Are the employees not getting paid enough lol? The Home Depot customer has gone downhill a lot.

                    Like Shopping at Fort Knox
Not only is everything locked up behind a cage, but individual items are locked up behind the first cage. There is constant beeping letting you know you are being recorded. Items have to be brought to the cashier for you, and then held onto until the receipt is printed, even though they see you paying. Basically, it feels as if you are a criminal rather than a valued customer. The lack of staffing, or lack of attentive staff at least, makes this entire ordeal even more time consuming and inconvenient. You never know how long it will take. We once had to wait an hour for a lawn mower. It is as if they want their in-store shopping to fail and go online only. No problem, easier for me I guess.
