I know big box stores are famous for their cavernous spaces and snow-leopard like customer service, but I eagerly anticipate the next competitor's advert where they lampoon the service desk jockey's obsession with smart phones. I can see it now: head buried in a screen while sixteen people wait in line: "The Home Depot. You need us. You'll be back". I had time to think up this nonsense during my last visit. Ace is the place with the helpful hardware man.

Their store is generally staffed with a lot of associates, so it's easy to find help whenever I go in there. Allen Clark in Hardware Dept. #25 did an outstanding job for me at the Highlands Ranch, CO Home Depot. I asked a simple question about how to solve my problem and he went above and beyond to help me solve it. He used tools in the store to help me drill a hole in a planter pot. He was helpful, knowledgeable, friendly and wouldn't give up until my issue was solved. He was fantastic!!! Thank you Allen for taking the extra time to care and help me out. You are a good person! I had an excellent experience with Roxanne at the return desk today. My online order came in damaged, and, despite the guy who was working at the online pickup desk (who definitely could use a lesson in good customer service) telling her to NOT give me an exchange (since my filters were 4 packs and the ones in the store were 2 packs, exact same product, different quantity but otherwise identical) Roxanne went above and beyond, disregarded his suggestion, and gave me discounts on the 2 packs so the price came out to the same as a 4 pack. She has outstanding customer service skills. WAY TO GO Roxanne. Excellent work!!

We have found this Home Depot makes mistakes from time to time as do other stores and people, but no more than any of the others and we have always been more than satisfied, even happy with every resolution.

Improved help from employees walking in various areas of the store. Excellent variety of items in many areas and reasonable costs. We were helped selecting a shower, selecting shower head and tile...all by three different knowledgeable people. Everyone was friendly and helpful.
