Why is my door drafty?

If you have cold air seeping in under the door, you'll want to fix it to keep your house warm while preventing your heating bills from skyrocketing. When a house settles unevenly, pieces that once fit snugly can go off-kilter. Gaps can form around the sides of doors or the thresholds may loosen with time. Fill the space with weather stripping or foam tape, and caulk any cracks in the wooden door frame. If you're still feeling drafts around the door, place an insulated fabric door snake along the ground.

What are good wintertime DIY projects?

When the temperatures drop outside, it's challenging to work out in the elements. However, a chilly day may be a good time to rake leaves or give the mulch in the garden a stir. Some time cleaning the basement, shed, or garage will pay off when spring comes. You won't have to replace lost tools with new ones because you can find what you've got. Polish up the tools, clean the rest of the house with cleaning supplies, and you'll be ready when the cold moderates and the sun comes out.

How can chainsaws help with yard and tree cleanup?

If you've got scrap wood and pallets sitting unused in a corner, chop them up with a chainsaw in the springtime so you can store them or get rid of the wood. Spring is a good time to organize the pile of firewood and trim any broken tree branches too. Before firing up your Milwaukee chainsaw, ensure that the chain isn't dull or rusted and that it's been oiled. Then, while wearing the proper safety equipment, use the chainsaw to cut the wood. Make pieces the same size for easier storage.

Does my local Home Depot still offer Kids Workshops?

Our free Kids Workshops take place in-store every first Saturday of the month between 9am and noon. You may reserve your Kids Workshop kit by registering online for the event. We have a new kit pack every month to keep your little doer engaged. Kits include all necessary craft materials, kit instructions, certificate of achievement, stickers, an apron pin, and a Discovery Education extension activity. Any required tools, such as paint, are provided at the workshop. Kits may be ordered online at our Kids Projects Activities page or picked up in-store if you prefer to participate in the workshop from home. Employees are super helpful

Every time I am greeted at the door and get asked if I need any help. The employees will walk you to the item you’re looking for and don’t just point to an aisle.

Terrible experience

At checkout they were trying to not let me scan my stuff, I told them I did not need help I have been to Home Depot a thousand times then as we were walking out a man asked if we needed loading assistance I told him no we don’t need help he then proceeded to follow me to the car I told him we didn’t need help we got it and he would not leave he stayed right there staring at us the entire time made me feel uncomfortable once we left I called the manager and told him how uncomfortable I was and he mocked me he did not help me and he refused to believe me when I told him that he was not there to help and that he was being rude outside and watching us and made us feel uncomfortable if a customer tells someone this it should be met with understanding and not criticized and not believed I would not of stated something like this without truly having a reason to! terrible store do not recommend!

Store was clean, orderly, and staff was friendly.

I had to make a return on a product as it wasn’t the right product I needed. The return desk associates were friendly and made getting my money returned a breeze. The sale cashier Lisa helped me apply for a in-store credit card and made doing so easy and checking out easy as well.

Home Depot Rocks

Home Depot not only helped me with the plumbing job I was working on, a Jackson Home Depot employee (Latrell) saved me a trip to the emergency room, maybe even saved my life when I had a low blood sugar event. He caught on and was intuitive enough to get me a candy bar that helped me until I could get to my car and get the correct glucose medicine I required. Thanks again Latrell. Mark S.
