You can rent a piece of large equipment, a tool, or a trailer for four hours or more. Simply choose the length of time that suits you. Small home improvement projects may only require a short rental period, and bigger jobs aren't a problem either. You've got options to rent these items by the month, day, or week, too. If you need your rental equipment longer than your initial rental period, call the rental center to arrange an extension and avoid late fees.

You can return the tools early if you finish your project sooner than predicted, but on time works, too. As long as you return it by the deadline you were given when you rented it, you'll be good to go. Please clean off built-up dirt from the tool as well. If you need it longer, give the rental center a call to see if you can extend your rental period.

Yes, power saw rentals generally come with blades, but we do recommend that you purchase your own. You'll likely not get a sharp blade when you rent, as most people won't leave one on there when they return it. However, you may luck out and have a sharpened one. Since there's no guarantee, it's better to purchase a suitable blade, just in case you need it.

Yes, please fill up the truck before you bring it back. Note the amount of gas in the tank when you receive the truck, and be sure to fill it with enough gas to match that same level. When you don't refill the truck, you have to pay a penalty known as the fuel replacement charge.

No, you must hold a valid driver's license and be 21 or older. Depending on your state, you may require car insurance, as well as a credit card hold or deposit, too. We do not accept cash for Home Depot truck rentals, so please bring your credit card. Penske moving truck rentals have different requirements, so read those if you plan to rent a Penske truck. All large equipment and select tools require ID verification via CLEAR.

Depending on your location, you may be able to get large equipment delivered straight to your job site for a reasonable cost — whether that's at your home or out in the field. We'll need at least 24 hours' notice so we can adequately prep your rental delivery for you, and you'll need to rent it for a full day. In places where delivery isn't available, speak to one of our knowledgeable associates for the best way to get your large equipment.

Think of your rented large equipment as any other vehicle: Make sure it's parked legally and that you obey traffic laws. Read the operator's manual so you're using it correctly to avoid injuring yourself or damaging the equipment. Also, plan ahead to ensure the equipment is ready when you are. If you cancel within 12 hours of your scheduled delivery, you'll pay a cancellation fee. Extend your rental period if you need extra time so you won't get hit with a late fee.
