Roland was very courteous and helpful in ordering me a new washer dryer combination and in helping me select the correct size.

I bought two stoves online which didn’t work out…I returned them unopened during delivery. Months later no clear resolution of situation. Miscommunication or no communication and still no credit on my credit card I used. Very dissatisfied.

I am so thankful that we have Home Depot in Kauai. I rely on them for most of my construction needs. They do need to work on inventory issues. Products I count on will be sold out for weeks/months. I like seeing new products and take advantage when I can. There are some stocking issues where a product is not on the shelf but exists way up high and I have to try that find someone to assist. Another issue is when the app says the product is on hand yet none are to be found. In general I would say most of the staff is friendly - though I’m not sure why greeters sometimes don’t greet.

We shop regularly and Noreen is always helpful and friendly. Generally good selection of items in stock.

People are good. But a waste of time will people that aren’t properly trained. Spent an hour and a half waiting for a product. Then made a big purchase only to find out it wasn’t working and they knew about it. Been 2 days and still no answer on how they are going to compensate me properly. They offered less than 2% discount on something they should have not sold.

It took a week of phone calls to order 3 appliances. Also, nothing is in stock so everything is a 4/6 week wait. Once someone did finally answer the phone, they sounded more irritated than happy that I called to place an order. Would shop anywhere else if any other option was on island. I think they know this.

I’m satisfied with the overall service as a knowledgeable customer, however, when sending a client in the store to pick up materials and/or hardware they often come back frustrated and disappointed,.. there used to be Home Depot employees in the aisles to assist less knowledgeable customers, now they are hard to find,. Not complaining as much as stating a fact 🤷🏽‍♂️🙄

Most Everything I buy I need from ordering to delivery or in store purchases has been satisfying so far.

Home Depot always has the unusual items I need. No matter what I’m looking for. The gardening section is great with plants that are always in top shape and don’t die a week later. The tool area is the heart of the store with unusual tools that are hard to find and the online ordering if it’s not there is as easy as it comes. The staff makes shopping great as everyone there seems to have great knowledge of their area but also knows where things are located, if not in their area. I have to say I am very pleased the way the store is organized the amount of items stocked and the knowledge and professionalism the employees hav. Hands down it is a great store

It's too bad that the store is not larger. There is a need for more selection and the store is already crowded with items.

Great service & advice

My husband and I built a 4500’ home in Kauai, owner/builder and bought much of our construction and finishing materials at Home Depot. We love Home Depot and it’s employees. Staff are always helpful and attentive .

You are good, then you are bad. You run out of products like chicken wire. Your plants are good.. then bad. Need more variety. No consistency. Please look at Lows.. their fencing department is superior. And they have a pond section.. you got rid of yours. You need to get someone who knows what to order… just look at the Facebook groups on the island.. big group of aquatic plants and ponds enthusiasts. Were all building our own chicken coops, rabbit hutches, dog pens… sheds.. you need to supply us with those materials

Kauai’s Home Depot is sad. Not enough associates and the ones there seem not knowledgeable about their area. I witnessed an employee yelling at a customer asking for help,that she hadn’t had her lunch yet. Most appliances out of stock and it’s always…4-6 weeks before the one you order comes in. No one on this island to fix Samsung appliances so don’t bother purchasing.

I love this store but waited for an hour for someone to help me purchase a washer and dryer. A wonderful associate from another department kept paging for help as we waited. There were at least four to five other customers also waiting for assistance throughout the time I was there. Minimally, a store manager should have come to talk to us and let us know that an associate was not available. It was a total waste of time and very disappointing. I love this store and have a very high threshold of patience; however, I have never been so frustrated.

The Home Depot in Hawaii has amazing products with competitive prices. Living in Hawaii, lots of shopping ends up being online… With this said, it is extremely discouraging, disappointing and almost a tease to be on The Home Depot website and find things that I want, would use and want to purchase just to find a “ Not available in Hawaii” statement. Ok, now for some people they are going to buy that item in another state and bring it with them next time they travel to Hawaii, and that is still a good percentage of sales The Home Depot receives, HOWEVER, for the people that don’t have similar luxury, it would be nice to see that when we use the find a store option and select a store that we would have a choice to only see options available to us. I’m sure web page engineers could easily set a filter for us that would save us from the Home Depot tease of living in Hawaii. Or have an Only Available In Hawaii In The Month Of…where customers could time their purchases and Home Depot could synchronize shipping accommodations to fulfill hard to reach orders. I appreciate The Home Depot for everything they offer.., in Hawaii. Thanks again, “ We The People”

Shopping can be a challenge as the store is not staffed sufficiently to find assistance most of the time, unfortunate for those that do not have the knowledge in all areas like electric, construction, etc. Even in appliance division

Flo was very helpful in the process of picking and delivery set up of my exterior doors. She also gave me info on my choices for interior doors

The Garden Shop is well maintained. The variety of plants look well pruned and cared for. Landscaping materials are well stocked, as are gardening necessities.

Bought the front door MeshTec screen door and I installed with a smile. Great product!

I just wanted to share this thought. Over the years my wife and I have never had a bad or dissatisfying experience at Lihue Home Depot. We have found the staff to be very helpful, courteous, knowledgeable and, if the staffer doesn't know will refer us to someone who does. A perfect example of this happened yesterday when I was searching for a hard to find cabinet hinge. I was referred to a very sharp lady who not only gave me some excellent advice but also left me wanting to come back. Her hilarious comments made my day. By the way, 90% of our home appliances are purchased at Lihue Home Depot because of their excellent sales people. We feel they genuinely care about us and want us to make the right choice. ... and that's why we keep coming back.

Great local supplier for so many items island homeowners would otherwise not have access to! Unfortunately the past couple years phone pickup/answering has almost become obsolete. Which is very unfortunate when the only other option is take 2-3 hrs of precious time to drive roundtrip to confirm if a specific item is in stock. It's also understood phone support has the option to politely end the call with customers lacking aloha. Otherwise, in store help is terrific!

I came in looking for mechanics hand soap. There was none on the shelf but the ap said 29 in stock. I was wandering a bit until an employee named Shirley must have seen that I was distressed and she asked to help me. We went to where it was supposed to be, not there. Many people would have said, sorry we’re out, but not Shirley. She found the boxes up above, went and got the ladder and brought it down for me. Excellent service and attitude SHIRLEY you made the sale and I’m a big fan!

The ability to check price and accurate stock availability online before driving to the store makes shopping easier than most other stores.

We only have one on island, and we get treated like family everytime were are there. Mahalo!

Your employee in the garden section is really, really mean. She will scold you for touching the plants, tell you to go away you can't buy these plants. If you try to reason with her she will really fly off the handle. I don't think she even likes plants, definitely doesn't like people.
