Napa Home Depot Store
My only issue with the store is finding help on the floor. But when I do, the person is usually very helpful and helps me find what I need.

The WD Nightmare
We purchased a new WD Set. We waited Four hours for delivery and watched the app tell us we were number 9 in delivery to number three. 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm. But now it’s gets really fun. At 6:20 pm the app now says you have missed your delivery. We call the help line and they tell us I’m sorry we can communicate with the drivers and to call back tomorrow am at 8:00. We call the next morning to get our new delivery time but wait I’m sorry again you now won’t get your WD the next day you now fall into the end of the line and have to wait a additional 7 days for delivery. We now get to go to laundry mat every three days because we got rid of our old machines as instructed. We have two more days until Santa hopefully arrives early with our WD. This is some of the worst customer experiences I have ever had with a company.

Universal Everbilt range top element
The Everbilt range top element supposedly to fit a GE range did not fit into the the GE Drip pans requiring modifactions to the trip pan. Upon removing the Everbilt element one of the contacts became stuck in the contacts requiring professional installation. These Everbilt elements are not to spec and are a problem

Lazy employees and unwilling to help out with basic tasks
Spent over 3 hours buying tile and vinyl flooring, each ‘helper’ worse than the previous. Did I mention lazy?? I actually complained to floor supervisor and asked for manager, who never showed her face. Did I mention lazy??
Errors made with delivery order, I told them I would take what was on the floor for my order, the ignorance of how to write the order is appalling. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE, the worst HD ever I have purchased from. Fish stink from the head so the store manager must be like the people she hires. Did I mention lazy most of them??
JUST HORRIBLE, and one of the lazy guys even said when I complained that I must be having a bad day, and he is an ambassador, gotta laugh at how out of touch this man is with what his job entails.
Kudos to Chaya, the only intelligent person working there that kept apologizing for all the others. Thanks Chaya.

My Home Depot shopping experience . . .
For the most part this Home Depot store is a nice place to shop.
Like most Home Depot stores they do not have enough help. They are trying to operate to a profit instead of trying to merchandise to one. I would like to invite them to "The I Wanna' Fail Club". . . no doubt they will offer less customer service and fall by the wayside.

Flooring job. Horrible experience
The purchase of the job went well. However, was told Home Depot would remove old flooring. It wasn't pointed out to me (it is in the contract, but I didn't read the whole thing) that they wouldn't take excessively soiled carpet. The communication between Home Depot & the company with which they contract (J & W Flooring) was horrendous. On the scheduled day to start the project, Home Depot hadn't delivered the materials. The workers were on their way over just to learn the materials weren't there. The job was delayed 2 days as a result. Then, I was told the job would be finished on that Fri. When I went to check on the job at 4:00 p.m., the workers were gone & the job was unfinished. That's an issue for J & W. I decided, since it was delayed for the weekend, to purchase baseboard for the part of the home I hadn't previously planned to change. I purchased it at about 5:30 p.m. from the Napa store & was told it would be ready the next day for me to pick up. At 10:00 p.m. that night, I was called & told Napa didn't have enough of the material. The woman told me the Fairfield store had it & would deliver it. I told the woman to be sure that the address was 1166 La Homa because there are 3 houses on the property. The next day I had an email & it showed a delivery address of my home. This was going to a rental. I called & was told not to worry, it was going to 1166 La Homa. Then I had an email saying the delivery was canceled. I called again & was told no, it wasn't canceled, all was well. Several hours later I had another email saying it was delivered to my home address & so the delivery was canceled. I called again & was assured it would be at the job site by 8:00 p.m. It wasn't. There were several more calls, now to the Fairfield store, on Sun. It was promised between 3-5 that day. Evidently the contracted delivery company sent a vehicle that was too small. Home Depot said they would deliver it in one of their trucks the next day. The workers were starting at 9:00 a.m. When I called the Home Depot store, they didn't realize it was going to Napa. I explained to the actual deliver person what had happened over the weekend & he delivered it that morning.
I had an issue with the installation company not taking the old flooring. I understand, after having it point out, that they would take the carpet which was heavily soiled by dog urine. But, they didn't take the other flooring either. After numerous phone calls, finally Home Depot Napa agreed to reimburse me half the amount I had to pay to have the old materials removed. This was time consuming & incredibly stressful. I also think most people don't read the fine print in contracts. The salesperson told me Home Depot would remove the old flooring. I think they should tell people the caveat.

One of the more inadequately stocked HD's I've ever shopped.
Very poor product selection. It is common to find this store does not have what i need, even when the computer says the item is available in stock in the store. Also, the store itself is not kept clean. Inventory is routinely misplaced (probably from customers that are too lazy or inconsiderate to replace items where they find them). Store carts, ladder, forklifts are left in aisle blocking access when no one is using them.

Poor delivery service
All went well with the order of 5 appliance, but the delivery has become a nightmare. We still do not have the appliances. The delivery company you are using are not a responsible subcontractor.

Fantastic customer service
I had made a purchase online a few weeks ago of 10 units of product (the website said the store had 32 of these items in stock when I placed the order) and by the time I went to pick them up my order had been canceled because they couldn't find the product in the store. Gabi at the service desk was so helpful, so patient, and so tenacious in tracking down these missing items in store while I waited. Turns out they did have them in stock after all. Shout out to Gabi and the team for making this happen!

Sad state of affairs
Last week I went into Home Depot through the Pro end of the building. A young person was standing behind the Pro check out station and when I asked him where I might find gloves he said "I'm on break" very rudely so I moved to the next person, who wasn't able to help me so I went to another person who sent me to the wrong location so I asked a fourth person who sent me to another location which was incorrect. I finally went to customer service who was able to get me to the isle I needed to find the gloves I was looking for.

Pro desk
I know that the pro desk gets a lot of crap, but the people that work at the Pro desk are awesome. They’re always on top of things. They’re willing to always work with you. They will go out of their way just to help you and find what you need and sometimes pull your orders, especially when they’re really busy They make you feel like your top priority. The only person who gives any of us contractors a hard time and has been told many times by the manager to be more customer service as a guy by the name of Rick. He has give me numerous times trouble being a contractor. He has told me to go somewhere else and go to a different Register because he doesn’t wanna help me or others because we’re not part of his contractor list. I do give credit to Jim, Carl, Lynn, Larry, Mario. They are really good employees and even the new guy Vincent. I think his name is they are amazing. They will do anything for you Very friendly and very Customer Service like.

Most staff are nice, most helpful, cheaply made products.
Overall the staff were available and helpful. The store was clean and supplies were on hand. But the quality of the products they sell are absolutely abysmal. If I had any other immediate options I would buy elsewhere not because of the staff but because of the quality home depot chooses to stock. That's not a staff problem. That's a Corporate level money saving issue. For some reason, home depot, corporate thinks that people who do it themselves are also ignorant.\nOf what makes a quality product. If I had an other option , I would use it. If I get another option I will use it.

Unorganized mess of a store.
The layout is very different than other stores. Aisles are clogged with inventory and help is hard to get.

Worst customer service I’ve seen.
We went to the Napa Home Depot store to buy some Trex to build a deck around our pool. We asked three people if they could help us the first one just sent us to the lumber section. And then walked away. The next two said they didn’t know where it was and didn’t offer to take us to find it or call anyone to help. We are going to spend $10-$15,000 for materials, but we will never spend a penny at this store. Apparently new management would be suggested to teach the employees actual customer service. Avoid the store like the plague.

Strive to improve
There is too much stuff, product , in the isles . You can barely pass another cart down the two major isles running perpendicular to the numbered ones. The back wall isle is almost always cluttered and or blocked by carts filled with what appears to be go back items. Then there is the men’s bathroom. It stinks. Maybe better ventilation, and an air freshener will help. Also turn the music up in there so we don’t have to hear someone else taking a crap. And as always the customer service on the floor is hit and miss. Most of the time it’s a miss . The front self checkout, either let us do it ourselves or get rid of them and put normal check out stands with an employee there ready to help.

.....wish they followed the return policy
So the problem I have with this home Depot is the fact that they don't follow there own return policy it clearer stats what should be done with no receipt returns but they won't even do it at all they just deny everything right out the gate it says that they use a third party system see if they could do the return they won't even go as far as doing that they literally just deny you no matter what

The only game in town, and unfortunately they know it.
Many products are out of stock, but there system says they have some inventory, so it doesn't reorder. Big problem! The quality of there products has gone down... and down. When you look at a sheet of plywood the price is up and the thin top layer is thinner. There is no quality to their product, only convenience that they might have something. It is a sad statement to the idea that they believe that their consumer will just accept a mediocre product.

Corporate policies help make this store the worst
THERE ARE SO MANY KIOSKS AND RETAIL ITEM STANDS IN THE AISLES ITS impossible to pick up lumber and plumbing pipe. They constantly fill this store with so much marketing junk and other garbage irrelevant to a building supply facility. AND several times I've bothered to check online to be sure they have something in stock, then when I go there, after finding nothing and waiting half an hour for help it turns out they don't have the item anywhere. Somehow their inventory is all wrong. And their plant selection sucks. They make no effort to sell plants that best fit the local ecosystem. Everything is generic, like freaking petunias. They don't sell things I want like honeysuckle, frost tolerant avacado, curly leaf resistant fruit trees, hibiscus, stevia or a dozen other things they should.

Young man did not help me.
The young man who was called to help me put a 8' 4x4 post into my car was not very helpful. I am a 75 yr old woman and was struggling to get the cart holding the post to move in the direction of my car. This young man didn't ask if I needed help with the cart. I was not impressed with this employee.

The store is looking much better
It had been awhile since I was last in Home Depot Napa and I was really surprised at how clean and organized it was. An employee also welcomed us in as we entered the store, that was the first time ever. Something definitely has changed at this location for the better. I was impressed and hope the store continues this direction.

Every time I try to do anything beyond buying a few tools or light bulbs at HD its like getting root canal without Novocain
If you want some basic hardware stuff, sure, go to HD. Just don't expect anyone to help you find it. And if you want to order services, or big ticket items like appliances or counters, go somewhere, anywhere, else.

New Kitchen Remodel
Our new kitchen remodel was a bit of effort on both our part and the Home Depot Designer but the extra time to details paid off. Our only comment is we had to wait a long time and when some of the cabinets arrived two were damaged and Designed forgot some key pieces - delaying installation.

Washing machine selection
I shopped in our Napa California Home Depot when the appliance department was very busy, but the service I received from Keith Kinsey was exceptional. So many choices! Keith was attentive and pleasant and helped me decide between several options. The buying process was smooth and I feel I've made the best decision for my needs and budget.
