Inadvertently we failed to return an item not used during a construction project. Was not expensive at a little over $30. Even though it was past the 90 day return policy, it was accepted. Thank you Home Depot!

    Was looking for 2 items
Jerry from garden decided to be ignorant and irritated that we even came into the store as he was on the computer looking up football stats and was interrupted during this process. He instantly said that's not my department ypu need to go to the other side of the store. This Is the 2nd time this has happened in almost the same fashion and I don't appreciate it especially when I was on a timed schedule. We were treated like we were not welcome and I am debating on even going back along with a few others I shared this info to that frequent this store

          Worst. Experience. Ever.
I originally ordered my washer and dryer on 9/1, a man named Luke completed my order. I told him specifically that I needed a gas dryer and I needed haul away. I signed up for a Home Depot credit card because he said I would get 100 dollars off my purchase. I signed all the necessary paperwork and went on my way. That Friday that my appliances were supposed to be delivered, I got home from work at 8AM after working 12 hours, stayed up to be awake for the delivery, and then around noon I got a text message that my order couldn't be delivered. No explanation, nothing, just, we can't deliver your order. So I have to call in to Home Depot to find out why. Turns out you can't bring a semi trailer down a gravel driveway. After the delivery is rescheduled for a week later, I notice that the dryer that was ordered was electric - not gas like I had ordered. I called and cancelled that order, and ordered a different set that I liked better. At this point, no one had any explanation for why an electric dryer had been ordered instead of a gas dryer, nor could anyone help me out on getting that 100 dollar discount I had gotten in the beginning because I signed up for the Home Depot credit card. They said, it's a new order - which means you're not signing up for the credit card - you'll have to take that up with the credit card company. At this point the store says that because I changed my order, despite the fact that it had been wrong to begin with, I would have to wait another week for delivery, specifically a box truck that could make it down my gravel driveway. Ok, I say to myself, it's been this long, I can continue to wait for another week. Lo and behold, the day comes for the arrival of my washer and gas dryer. The delivery company comes in to look at the space in which they will need to install the appliances. The man who came in to look at the space asks if I need haul away. I say yes, thinking this is a weird question because I had ordered haul away. Nevertheless, he goes back outside to meet his cohort and they begin to unpack the appliances. At this point I'm getting my hopes up. But I shouldn't. We both know I shouldn't. Can you guess what happens next? I receive a call from the second delivery worker. He states that not only did I not pay for haul away, but that I have not paid for installation. The staff at the Home Depot have told me that the delivery company could not install the gas dryer due to safety issues, so I had a back up plan for someone to come install it for me. So now the problem is, I can't just have these guys drop off the appliances because there would be nowhere to put them, and I also just learned that there are delivery workers who have been specially trained in the installation of gas appliances, a fact which Home Depot vehemently denied. (This is also strange to me because I had a gas stove installed with absolutely no problems that I ordered from the Home Depot.) I told the delivery workers to reschedule the delivery. I will call the Home Depot and sort this out. I called the Seneca/Franklin/Oil City Home Depot, the very same one that I had visited in person twice and called numerous times at this point to get everything sorted out. Do you know what they told me? I bet you do. "We can't help you," they said. "You didn't order the haul away and the installation kit when you ordered the appliances." WHO DOESN'T ASK ABOUT HAUL AWAY OR INSTALLATION KITS AT THE TIME OF SERVICE?????? I'm absolutely astounded at this point. The worker offers to pass my problem on to the "delivery specialist" who will be in the next day. I (not so) kindly told the person to please also pass along the message that there is no way I will be paying for the haul away or the installation at this point, seeing as how the one and only helpful person I've dealt with the entire three weeks at this point was only authorized to discount 50 dollars from my order. I've literally typed multiple paragraphs of things that have gone wrong with my order at this point, and the only recompense I'm offered is 50 dollars. This saga is a travesty. A sham. A travesham. If you're wondering, my personal hero in this tale, her name is Averi. She is the appliance specialist at this store. Literally the only person who listened to me, although her authorization powers are limited. Anyway, back to the show. The next day I call the Seneca/Franklin/Oil City Home Depot back because I was told that Averi would be working. After all, she is my personal hero in this travesham, maybe she can help me one more time to get this sorted and over with. After getting put on hold and hung up on several times (which is par for the course at this store), I am finally connected to Averi. She hears my plight, understands where the problem occurred and tells me she will speak to her higher ups and see what can be done. I am put on hold again. After several reiterations of the Home Depot advertisements, she comes back. She seems truly remorseful, but her superiors are not budging. They are not willing to help. If I want my appliances delivered and the old ones hauled away, I will have to reorder the entire shipment with the extras added on. Also, no installation, no way no how. I can't help it. At this point, I just start crying. I'm so frustrated. I can't believe that a company who has put their customer through so much can care so little. I recognize that I am in no shape to make decisions, I thank Averi for her time but tell her that I will have to call back or visit the store the next day. A few hours later I receive a call from Averi. Apparently my emotion has so moved her that she pleaded my case with her supervisors. Apparently she had to go to a lot of trouble to convince them to give in just a little bit. Her supervisors agreed to wave the haul away fee, and allowed her to contact the delivery company to ensure that the appliances would be delivered by a worker who was specially trained in installing gas appliances. However, she said, I would have to pay around 90 more dollars to buy the installation equipment. I gave in. After all the hassle and frustration and discontentment, this is what I was offered. 50 dollars off one of the appliances, free haul away, and installation. To be quite clear, I had to wait almost a month, go through enough frustration to drive me to actually cry, deal with incompetent, or worse, unsympathetic employees, just to receive a paltry pittance. I commend Averi. She did everything she could to help me. She actually cares about the customers. To top it off, I started to talk to my friends about the outstanding idiocy of the entire situation - just to find out that they have had similar experiences with this store. From the delivery to the uncaring employees, they also came to their wits end when dealing with this company. I doubt very much that anyone will read this essay, respond to it, or care about it. But I'll do my best to talk anyone I know out of buying anything from the Home Depot, especially the Seneca/Franklin/Oil City site.

Friendliest Home Depot in the Universe!
I've just recently purchased an older home that we are completely remodeling. This is my first time doing this and I don't know what I would do without this store. The bonus is the staff that is so willing to help or find out the answer with you.

                    Product available but damaged
Needed to buy a new riding mower. They only had 2 on hand of the manufacturer and model that I wanted and BOTH were damaged. Still had to pay the full $2k+ for it and they wouldn't even give me a courtesy trailer use for two hours to haul it home. Instead, I need to wait almost two weeks for the delivery. The cashier in the customer service area seemed very angry. The sale associate - Renee I think was her name - she was fabulous and very helpful. I've been buying less and less from The Home Depot over the years because the quality of goods and services there continues dropping as the prices increase.
