What additional precautions is The Home Depot taking in light of COVID-19?
The adjusted hours give stores the ability to staff appropriately and provide additional time to restock shelves and perform cleaning. As part of our normal practice, our stores and other facilities are cleaned and sanitized daily. Following guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), we've increased the frequency of cleaning and general hygiene maintenance in stores and other locations. We've also stepped up our efforts to disinfect high-traffic and high-touch areas like self-checkout, door handles, and bathrooms, as well as posting signage about handwashing and other preventative actions.
We're promoting social distancing in our stores and distribution centers, which includes stores limiting the number of customers inside at any given time. In addition to training our associates on social distancing, we've placed distancing markers at some of our checkout counters and are making overhead announcements on our store PA systems asking customers to practice social distancing.

In the process of bagging my own goods because Home Depot no longer staffs cashiers, one of my items did not make it home with me. I called and explained the situation. The store found the item that was left behind but refused to issue me a refund over the phone. The item was $7. They knew they had it. The cashier had it in her hands but refused the refund. I’ll take my business elsewhere.

Staff have been helpful --and the store generally has items I need in stock but recently I encountered some issues with tan incorrect special order. To improve the customer experience and reduce the risk of a recurring problem with a future customer's order--Provide a system for store staff to report a modification that is required to the description or details of a listed special order product. In a recent example a special order was placed for Vesratex Stealth corner board -with smooth finish. The product delivered to the store was -not --the rabbeted Versatex Stealth corner board version listed in the Home Depot product description -it was the Standard Vesratex corner. The Versatex product delivered to the store had the rough finish version-not the smooth finish that was listed in the Home Depot product special order description. In my discussion with Home Depot staff their was not a convenient mechanism -to correct --or report the incorrect product listing. Unfortunately I needed the Stealth version(rabbeted finger type) for the project--not the standard Versatex board stock version.

Finding the design department was like navigating a rat maze. Better signage indicating "kitchen/bath design" would help. The lighting in this store doesn't seem as inviting or bright as other HD stores I've shopped. Perhaps it's the height of the racks, but there seem to be shadows everywhere.

I've visited this Home Depot many times and knew where to find the product I was looking for. The associate at the paint department was very friendly and helpful. She mixed a second quart of paint since the first can didn't turn out the color I wanted due to the sample I brought in. We figured it out with a paint swatch as she suggested.

Terrible selection of many things. Overpriced. Management does not honor Home Depot's 10% beat prices found at other stores for identical items guarantee. Cashier's are always great though!
