Purchasing major appliances, especially for a brand-new house, is usually the third largest investment an individual or family makes and for many, buying a $3,500 fridge, let alone an entire suite of appliances is intimidating and stressful. Aside from brand name, appearance, form-factor, features, warranty, customer satisfaction reviews, failure statistics, required accessories, etc., there are fit and installations considerations, availability, delivery scheduling and financing options all of which an appliance sales associate is expected to know and handle on behalf of the prospective customer. We know that, for reasons mentioned above, when it comes to customer satisfaction the job of the Sales Associate, especially an Appliance Specialists is a lot harder and often underestimated. Having worked in sales and having had to supervise personnel as well as answer to my superiors, we rarely get involved yet every once in a while, there are unique circumstances which we believe deserve acknowledgment and recognition. We consider this one of those times. From personal experience we can attest that 100% customer satisfaction is virtually impossible to achieve. Yes, CSI numbers may provide a clue yet sadly, as consumers, we are more likely to write a complaint than a commendation. This is Not a complaint! - This is a story of success! We would be very thankful if you would extend our appreciation to the Appliance Specialist member named below and find a way to acknowledge and reward her accomplishments. Being in the market for a complete suite off appliances, we have visited and reviewed all major websites as well as brick and mortar retailers in the St Lucie, Martin, Palm Beach counties area. We took time to evaluate not only the brands and models but most importantly the people and each company’s culture. To that end, we took time to visit all the Home Depot locations within the try county area looking not just for the best deal but for the best value and most importantly the best customer experience. One of the Home Depot locations we had the pleasure of visiting was the Home Depot on Gatling Blvd. in Port St. Lucie, FL. Right from the beginning we had the pleasure of meeting Ms. Diane E., one of the Appliance Specialists. The first thing that impressed us was her availability. Dianne was actively “working” the show floor. Not only that but we found her assertiveness as well as technical knowledge, patience, ability to listen to the customer, empathize and provide pertinent advice remarkable and refreshing. Dianne seemed to have the unique combination of qualities reminiscent of a seasoned detective searching for the information needed to solve a case as well as a school teacher informing and educating. As we have never been impulse buyers, we listed, learned and left. After all, we were in the middle of our due diligence and we had other retailers left to evaluate. We soon realized that, although we did not know it at the time, Ms. Dianne E. and the Home Depot on Gatling Blvd, was the store and the Appliance Specialist where we will buy our appliances from. Having concluded our research, we have returned to the Gatling Blvd. store and sought Diane. Although a few days had passed, Dianne remembered us and even more impressive, remembered the brands and models we were interested in. Needless to say, that aside from the Home Depot value, Diane has provided that unique buying experience we were looking for. We of course, purchased all appliances from her and the store on Gatlin Blvd and looking forward to visit that store and make subsequent purchases. Whether manufacturer or retailer, brand loyalty unfortunately, is becoming more and more a thing of the past. Quite often, seemingly insignificant details are enough to sway customers from one retailer to another and perhaps we are no different. What brought us back to Home Depot and specifically the Gatlin, Port St Lucie location is people like Diane. To that end, we would like to once more, extend our appreciation to her for her time and assertiveness together with our sincere gratitude. She most definitely deserves more than 5 starts on the customer satisfaction survey. We would greatly appreciate it if you would find a way to reward Diane for her knowledge, professionalism and customer centric attitude. Ms. Diane E. is a great asset to your team and the Home Depot organization.

I have dealt with just about everyone in the store because I started to do some changes to the inside of the house and I love going to that store. All the people are nice to deal with and if they don't know the answer they will find someone who does. I also had some interaction with the Manager because of an issue with cabinets that I had on order and it was a pleasure to meet and talk to her. I'm a Home Depot person ALL THE WAY. I find everything very easy now,and if not I just ask. My only complaint is to keep the parking lot cleaner and stop vehicles from parking in front of the front door and running in to return an item.
