Its 4:00pm on a Wednesday and I just finished work to pickup some touchup paint. I have the paint numbers in hand that I'm looking for that is sourced from Home Depot, and I have receipts. I go to the Tacoma Mall Home Depot thinking this would be a quick and easy stop to make a quart of two different interior paints that I had the paint codes to. I brought the paint codes to the paint kiosk in the store and had an absolutely terrible experience. Maddie, the person in charge of the paint section, failed to greet me at the paint desk and gave me attitude immediately. I explained I would like to have two quarts mixed of two paint codes I had previously bought from home depot. After barely attempting to work through the request, she tells me that she can't make the paint and home depot "probably doesn't" sell this paint anymore. Firstly, I sense she doesn't care about customer service as there is no reasoning, no sense of urgency, and a complete lack of effort. Secondly, this was 100% a lie because I went to the 4602 Center Street Tacoma store, said the exact same thing and I got the paint the same day. From being lied to, the terrible demeanor, and absolutely lack of effort or attempt of trying, Maddie shouldn't be customer facing with her attitude problems and lack of knowledge for her job. To prove this point, I've added my two receipts since that was truly a horrible experience and I will definitely recommend to everyone to never shop there if that is the best they can do for customer service.

prior to my Home Depot trip I stopped at a chase bank and received the worst service I have ever experienced. As I am looking in the lawnmower aisle at Home Depot, I asked a younger gentleman about the type of oil I should buy for my lawnmower. He told me he could not remember the correct one. As we were talking, an older gentleman named Randy, politely approached Asked if he can help us look for something. After explaining to Randy, what I was looking for he not only let me know which oil I needed. He also gave me very useful information on why this was the most useful before. Randy asked if he could help me with anything else. After helping me with a couple more items and more useful information Randy gave me his name and I shook his hand and told me if I ever needed help just to ask for him in the store and I’ll be happy to help. This was high end service you’d expect from a Nordstrom or Neiman Marcus. Everything Randy recommended worked great. Went from having the worst service to the best service I’ve ever experienced.

I went in on July 30th. 2023 for a few plants , I have a southwestern themed bedroom so I wanted a cactus plant , I already have 2 so I wanted a different variety and I found a really cool one that has a little bit of a red tint on the lobes , I know they paint some of the Aloe plants but the cactus is naturally tinted red/orange and it’s really healthy. I also picked up a planter containing 3 Dragon Plants with the really dark stripes on the leaves and they’re all nice straight clones …. Also healthy and strong.

This Home Depot stocks more items than their other stores.

He got the item for me that I wanted and that I needed it was very knowledgeable about where things were at as I was looking around for someone to ask a question he was right there and asked me what I was looking for very helpful gentleman.

I absolutley love coming to this Location. I know where everything is and they always seem to have what I need in stock. The customer service is exceptional as well. Its nice to go into a hardware store where the employees know you by name. I recommed this location

Home Depot has been my go-to big box store for years. I just about always go to the Tacoma store but every now and then I'll have to go to Spanaway or Puyallup if Tacoma is out of stock and they check inventory for me. The store is clean, the associates are friendly, helpful, and knowlegable (and if not, they'll find someone who is), and I LOVE the updated bathroom! Clean, smells great, and love the look(s).

i returned a few items the other day . The Home Depot worker told to me to place the items on top of a computer keyboard... I refused , Then she placed the items in a shopping cart behind her. She was eating french fries while returning my items. Totally unacceptable !

We in to just look at fridges and with great customer service we’re were able to purchase a great deal! Offered us 18 months @ 0%, w/ $100 off, delivery, set up and haul away old fridge. Couldn’t be happier!

Bought tank on memorial day

The employee who assisted me with my purchase really seemed to care about the customer and it showed. He was the only person there but he still was cheerful.

Beyond frustrated with the last two kitchen remodels I’ve used Home Depot for. I suggest you stay far far away from and cabinet or appliance purchase.

When I paid for the washer, I chose the one I did because I wanted something that was in stock. The day before delivery, I was told that the delivery date was change to five days more because the machine I chose was out of stock. I am very disappointed in Home Depot for deceptive sales practices.

We had bought a screen door but it was too big, Juanita helped with finding one online and having it shipped to the store. Very helpful and she priced matched. I know a $500 door probably is a low end purchase for most of your clients but for us we had to save for it and helping us with our purchase means a lot. Thank you!

The workers are very helpful and go out of thier way to find what you want or another employee if they can't.

Purchased at Home Depot, Tacoma WA location last night 03.09.25, bought about 45pcs of bricks with me and 16yo daughter. The cashier lady said there will be staff taht would help us, she send 4 staff but none of these young guys helped me and my daughter loading of the bricks from our cart to our car. They are just standing outside and chatting to each other about the football ganes and watching us doing it all by ourselves. Not even asked if need help, so the reason the cashier send these staff was supposedly to help us but they just watched us and chatting to each other. They getting paid to chitchat at work but not to help or assist the customer, the main reason they are there anyways.

Horrible experience with ordering a cabinet for a kitchen upgrade. Had a microwave on order so I figured I'd raise it up and bit. Ordered online a 15" H cabinet for over the range. It came damaged. I was told that a replacement would have to be ordered and it would arrive by the 5th of March. Great! Two weeks without a microwave. Today I get an email that it will now arrive on the 6th. Very disappointed with this store. I will never purchase anything from this location again.

Everytime I shop at this store the employees are very rude and condescending. When asking for help it always feels as if I'm bothering them. Some don't even know where an item is that I'm asking for. Also, if you want to feel like a criminal, be followed and stalked by loss prevention despite paying for everything everytime, shop here. Doesn't matter if you're an electrician with your license on your arm. Especially if you're a minority because you will be profiled!

I went in to purchase a refrigerator and not sure why it was impossible to get any service. To me, a consumer spending 1,000 is a lot of money and are my expectations too high? Can I get a smile? Can I get some questions answered? Nope don’t expect that here- you’re expected to self serve yourself. I will try different locations or maybe it’s a Home Depot fail with customer experience

Staff actually asks if I need help! What a nice surprise!

The staff are so warm welcoming, in particular a gentleman by the name of Randy . He’s amazing very helpful and knowledgeable about the products.

I want to commend Randy from the Tacoma 72nd Street location for his exceptional customer service. He was incredibly helpful, ensuring I found everything I needed. Randy was not only professional but also very kind throughout the entire experience. Thank you for having such great team members!

I've almost always come to this store it's location is great and every time I come to buy I have always found everything on my list.

Thus Hime Depot usually has what i need but I go to the N Tacoma store because it us so much nicer and the employees are super friendly
