Helpful, Friendly, and Understanding
This Home Depot is special. The employees here and their management are particularly helpful and understanding. My son is working on his Eagle Project for scouts and we’ve been back and forth to this store to make the project happen. Every visit staff has been available and ready to offer a hand or advice. They were also understanding about a difficult exchange—the Eagle Scout has learned a lesson about measuring twice and buying once! The manager on duty and supervisor, T and Kimo, were extremely helpful. Thank you again! Here’s a pic of the project in progress.

Great Employee! Bad Advertising
Debbie in 'Appliances' is patient and helpful. She guided me through the process of buying 3 appliances and we targeted searching one 'Qualifying Brand,' since an ad in the store stated that if you purchased 3 appliances of the same qualifying brand, you would save $600 under the headline, "Buy More Save More." I'm adding a picture. Debbie knows her stuff. She's been doing this a long time and is the most patient person I've met in a while. In my case, we stuck to the Frigidaire, which was labeled in the ad as a 'Qualifying' brand. That's the way both Debbie and I saw it as we searched for range, dishwasher and refrigerator. So, all 3 appliances I ordered were from the company 'Frigidaire.' The discount rang up as $400.00. I questioned why. I mean $200 is a fair amount these days when money can be tight for many of us. She didn't know for sure, but did mention that one of the Frigidaire products I was buying was labeled 'Frigidaire Gallery' and that possibly this was considered a different brand. Both made by Frigidaire. She seemed puzzled that this would be the explanation of $400 vs $600 off and checked with the manager on duty. The manager was puzzled as well, but the way these things ring up is set by the Home Depot and not the store, I guess. I considered it a 'splitting of hairs' that was deceptive. Again, not Debbie's fault. She was great and was apologetic about the $200 difference. I'm not sure why a company this big would split hairs like that and I've been going to this location for more than 25 years, Even when I was serving in Iraq, my wife used this store. We've never had an experience where the advertising made us believe one thing and the final price was another. I recommend this store. I recommend sitting down with Debbie if you are looking for appliances. I also recommend HD leadership take a look at what it posts in store. I mean I'm not an expert, but each product I bought was made by a company called Frigidaire. That's the way Debbie and her manager viewed it as I was lining up the appliances I wanted. They both felt awkward about that and maybe Home Depot Leadership should consider the perception of how this looks.

Don't Disturb the Employees
I'm old and went to the store for mulch, pea gravel, and pine bark nuggets. Absolutely no help loading the Carr or my car. No pine bark nuggets on site.

Online orders not wanted by Home Depot stores
Beware when ordering online with a gift card! They are not the same and be careful if you order online and have it shipped to the store and you use a gift card. If you have to return it the Decatur Ga store on Wages Drive Manager Sheila told me she could Only give me store credit and there was no way to get a gift card. I’m a Pro customer and was told by them that I could get a gift card but Sheila said their computer wasn’t set up that way. If I had ordered online and had it delivered And returned they would have credit give me a gift card.
there is competition between online and physical stores. As a customer this shouldn’t make a difference.

Meh, if your standards are low it’s fine
I can never count on this place stocking what they had last year. If they have the item I came for, the quality is down and the price is up. As a handyman, I see this in every department. Messy, poorly stocked, disorganized most of the time. But, if you’re flexible and can make things work that probably shouldn’t, you can make this second rate store work.

You have an employee that is absolutely the best!
At the Wages Drive location there is a cashier named Pam. She is always courteous, genuinely happy to see me is VERY knowledgeable. Over the years she knows how to take a check for payment. There were times at this location that no one was capable of that (how disappointing, maybe some training would be good) However, PAM ROCKS!

Worse than useless
I went to The Home Depot for buy parts for an interior stair handrail. I asked staff for help finding brackets. They told me that they didn't know anything about it, and signed me up for a third-party installer to come and give me a quote to do it. This was a waste of time, because once the installer arrived, he said he wasn't allowed to install handrails.

frustrating
Smaller store, less stock. Parking lot is always a pain - small and crowded.

Great design service for home office
We worked with Home Depot Kitchen and Bath Designer Erik Holmes at the Wages Drive/Decatur, GA, location. He listened carefully to our needs for a home office, and suggested some great ideas we'd not considered. Ordered our cabinets the following day.
