New management
The new management at the store brings new hope for this Home Depot. At first the store was chaotic and impossible to find help now I see associates from when I walk in the door until I leave and most greet me and engage with me on my shopping trip. The lines are still long but it seems like it's getting better with time.

    Great service and shopping experience since our first visit in -1995!
    Since moving to Atlanta in 1994, my wife and I have found consistently excellent service, t and fair prices at this Home Depot. It’s amazing to see the same employee here since our first visit (I wish I knew her name to give her a shout out) Home Depot has supported us through both of our home purchases, and our current rentals properties we own, as well -our 27-year business.         Knowledgeable and friendly staff
        We purchased an LG double oven and a Maytag dishwasher, neither were on the floor, but our sales associate walked us through the available options that were online. We purchased both products. They were delivered and installed the same week. Very happy with the purchase.

          More often than not excellent service...
          But there's sometimes the issue of not enough staff on the floor. I have not encountered a rude employee in a long time. Visit prior to this, a young man, who's name I didn't catch, wasn't sure where a product was located, but directed me to his supervisor a couple aisles over. When I turned too soon, he came to show me the right aisle.

                      The manager was very instrumental in processing a Ryobi Weed Wacker online order. The store did not stock the items and there were advanced order processing procedures required to execute the transaction.

                          Not the best Home Depot location
                          This is my go-to place for all the different kinds of DIY projects. I go there just because it's the closest. Their inventory is awful among other Home Depots. It's very frustrating that online says the item I need is in stock only to find out that I cannot find the item in store. (This happened so many times with hardware and fasteners.) Some items (special LED bulbs) are simply not available, and I need to go to different locations. Inventory-wise, I recommend the Ponce de Leon or the Norcross locations.

                            Would not have even gone to the store if I had known they were so short staffed. Apparently HD is too concerned with profits and paying dividends to pay for store workers. If I’m there to spend money I shouldn’t have to do their jobs for them - for free no less.

                                Rude Manager
                                Yesterday I bought 6 gallons of the same color paint from this store. When I got home, I painted, noticing it was weird and splotchy, but assumed it needed to dry. The next morning it was dry, but still different colors all over my wall. Took the empty paint cans, along with some photos of my wall back to the store, and the paint department suggested a refund to the manager, who laughed and said they had no authority to suggest that. He then told me my painting skills were the problem, and if I had done it correctly it wouldn’t look like that. (Then maybe don’t sell paint that only experienced painters can properly apply at a diy store???) He also suggested that if I had noticed this half way in, I wouldn’t have used all the paint, but instead I was apparently just trying to get free paint from them. Then Home Depot’s customer service suggested I call my credit card company and flag this $400 charge as FRAUD as the solution to my problem (because, according to their logic, Home Depot had charged me for a product I didn’t receive), instead of having this manager refund or remix the paint!!!

                                  I was greeted @ the door by Mr. Keith with a smile & " you look like you have an electrical problem in your hand". He assisted me & within 30 minutes I was out of the store & my problem solved. Thanks Home Depot Wages Rd. for Mr. Keith !!!!!

                                                Annual Buying of live Xmas tree and 2 for $10 Poinsettias
                                                For years, I've been coming the Sunday morning after Thanksgiving to get an 8-9-foot Xmas tree and some 3 for $10 poinsettias. Prices and selections are great, very few customers at that time, excellent help from employees. This is my favorite HD -- well run, helpful employee crew.

                                                      Horrible attitude from Keith in lumber
                                                      I needed help and asked a guy. He pointed and yelled for Keith to help me. Keith was hanging out with 3 other guys and ignored him. I yelled. Keith and other guy finally came. I asked about price of pickets because no signs. He pointed at a spot said that’s all we have. I asked which price. He repeated that’s all we have. I said can’t you scan the tag. He rolled eyes walking away. I said you seem pretty put out. Other guy did it and walked off. The pickets were way back and I couldn’t reach them. I had to call them back. Keith still rolling eyes moved them. I called him on it and he bowed up. Other guy got him to leave. Not the first time Keith has acted that way. Terrible customer service.

                                                        Please. wnen hiring new employees. Give them enough training how to help costumers to find what they are looking for. It's not necessary for new hired guys to know every single thing. But they must use the devises provided by home depot to find the location of the items that costumers asking for. Some worker are lazy and they just says i don't know witch is unacceptable

                                                            There was a new manager about two years ago, a young man. He was excellent and all the staff attitudes changed drastically. He got transferred, and then the staff attitudes came back and not many people were helpful. Now there must be another new manager because the staff were fantastic. Everyone I spoke to was helpful. People were apparently happy. It is so nice to be able to walk in and get help now. In the past, I have walked around for 28 to 35 minutes seeking out help and could not find any. I even watched staff turn around and go the opposite direction when they can see me looking for them to come help. I sure hope this manager stays.
