        Always friendly and helpful
        The Wappingers location is my favorite Home Depot. Everyone that works there is very helpful. Between building sets for theaters and home improvement jobs I am in there often and always have a good experience.

          Store appearance
          A lot of times I go in there the big ladder is in the aisles and half of the times you need to get by and you can't get by where the big ladder is and it just makes me want to go to another store

            My recent order
            Wappingers Falls has always been my go-to home improvement store. On my recent purchase of flooring I had an issue when I paid with the wrong card but the woman who worked in the flooring department walked me thru the re-order and was most helpful and re-assuring. Since Wappingers did not have that particular flooring in-store I just assumed that the Poughkeepsie or Newburgh store would be shipping it to my home. I did not realize that the stores do not swap out their inventory - - - would have been nice if someone had mentioned that to me. I was not aware that my order would be delayed since it is coming from the factory. It is not a big issue but now I know policy.

              It would be nice if store employees showed some interest in helping instead of making you feel like you're bothering them. Also, a $4 premium to have rebar in 2 ft pieces instead of me buying a 10 ft piece and cutting it myself? $4?

                      Wappinger Falls Store
                      I enjoy going to the Wappinger Falls store vs. the Poughkeepsie store. I know where most things are and the people are extremely nice. My only complaint is when you go to the store in the evening, it is sometimes hard to find help. The main excuse given is "the associate is out to dinner" Thank God I'm pretty self-sufficient.

                        Looked everywhere for this tent. After going to Newburgh and Fishkill with no luck Wappingers had them . We want to shout out to the employee named Will for having to get a forklift and retrieve a pallet of them from the top ( of coarse) to get it for us. And On a Sunday afternoon. He was very polite and helpful. You need more employees like him. Treat him right Home Depot in Wappingers NY.!!

                          Fork lift driver damaged truck
                          The Home Depot forklift driver initially placed the pallet of concrete blocks on the liftgate of the pick up truck instead of the bed. This damaged the latch mechanism.

                              First time pick-up order was a success!
                              I ordered several bags of potting soil and peat moss on line for pick-up. It was ready for me when I arrived to pick it up and it was loaded into my car by someone at the store. It was an easy, fast, and efficient transaction, and I will definitely do this again in the future. Thank you, Home Depot.

                                              Buyer Beware
                                              I was cheated by my local store. An associate opened the locked copper wiring locker and handed me a 100ft roll of 12/2 Romex wire. The plastic packaging was partially open but I thought nothing of it. The next day I opened the roll and started my project by running about 30 ft in two walls to multiple wall outlet boxes. That is when I realized the 100 ft roll I bought for $84 + tax was significantly less than 100 ft long. I had just 27 feet remaining. So my roll only had 57 ft in it, I was missing 43 ft. I called and spoke to the store Manager Jen, who told me to return the wire for a replacement. But I explained I used and installed 30 ft already and cut it at each outlet box. I told her I could bring back the 27 ft and show her photos of the work I did installing the 30 ft but she said no, I needed to bring back all of it. I explained I spend a few hours of work installing it and would need to spend more to remove it. She said the best she could do is sell me a roll at half price. Obviously, Home Depot customer service people accepted a return from a dishonest person who used 43 ft from a 100 ft roll and then put it back on the shelf for an honest guy like me to buy it and lose out on my money. Maybe they should weight expensive commodities like this wire to ensure they get the correct amount back in a return so an unsuspecting customer does not get stuck buying a returned and deficient product for full price! I now know better. Be aware of what you buy but my Home Depot store should have known better too!

                                                    I continue to shop at the Home Depot in Wappingers because it’s such a down to earth store with such down to earth employees. The ladies at the customers service desk always willing to help. Love it! Damaris and Krissy are awesome. I remembered when I purchased my first house and began shopping at this location. Damaris signed me up for my Pro membership. After signing up, I playfully yelled out “ I’m officially a Pro”

                                                      I Can't Do Zero Stars Or I Would
                                                      I went into the store, picked out the entrance door lock set I wanted, paid for it and left. Not much of a shopping experience. Why do I get these surveys when I buy a $30 item, but not for the $1800 dollar refrigerator that the so called "installers" dented and then threatened me in my own house? Why didn't the manager I called about the incident return my call? Why didn't anyone contact me, personally, when I sent an email to HD about the incident, but instead just added $1000 to my credit limit? It is because of the treatment I received that I cancelled MY HD store credit card. I won't EVER purchase a large appliance from HD again, due to the lack of interest in a real problem I had and the lack of integrity of your manager and whomever received my complaint and just threw $1000 dollars on my credit limit. These surveys are a joke. You only acknowledge the good and not the bad. BTW, I bought double ovens and a large "L" shaped counter top from two of your competitors last year. Your loss, not my problem.

                                                            Got to hunt down the chit chatters
                                                            No one wanted to come unlock the case to I could buy what I needed after asking twice and the employee announced over the loud speaker for someone to unlock the case, I had to go find someone just to find them chit chatting
