How do I rent a tool or moving truck?

Can I rent a tool for an hour?
You can rent a tool for four hours or more. Simply choose the length of time that suits you. Small DIY projects may only require a rental that's a few hours long, and bigger jobs can also be accomodated. You've got options to rent tools by the day, week, or month, too. If you need it longer than anticipated, call your Rental Center for an extension and avoid late fees.
When can I bring the tools back?
It's fine to return the tools early if you complete your project ahead of schedule, but on-time works, too. Just make sure to bring them back by the deadline listed on your rental paperwork. Please clean off mud and grime from the tool as well. If you need the tools longer, call the rental center to see if you can extend your rental period.
Can I rent a truck for a few hours?
Rent a truck or moving van for as long as you need it. For short trips, 75 minutes could be enough time. Otherwise, consider renting it by the day or the week, depending on how long your project is. Remember to factor in the drive to and from the store, as you must bring it back to the same store you rented it from. Penske moving truck rentals allow one-way rentals as well as round-trip options, and they have different terms. Be sure to read the provided documentation before selecting a vehicle.
Do I need to refuel the rental truck when I'm done?
Yes, please fuel up the truck before you bring it back. Match the level of gas that was in the tank when you received the rental. If you don't, you'll be hit with a penalty known as the fuel replacement charge.
Do I just need a driver's license to rent a truck?
No, you must hold a valid driver's license and be 21 or older. Depending on your state, you may require car insurance, as well as a credit card hold or a deposit, too. We don't accept cash for Home Depot truck rentals, so please bring your credit card. Penske moving truck rentals have different requirements.
