This HD store is shopper friendly, staff is always helpful. Checking out is easy. However if you are picking up a large item or a load of wood be ready to walk, several contractors seem to think that the loading area is just for them. They will park there while in the store sometimes for 1/2 hour or more. I have had to pick up lumber only to push the cart out into the parking area because the loading area is full of "the special ones" . I have shopped at other HD stores and they actually have employees who help load but also keep traffic in the loading area moving, not parking. Then a few years ago someone had the bright idea of putting actual parking spaces in the loading area, thankfully that did not last.

This store is very handy for me, location size. I have found the associates to be friendly, the products I need are available, and the cost is fair.

I was not impressed at all with my recent experience with my return with Christine. She was rude, unfriendly and made me feel not only embarrassed but not valued as a customer. Right off she blamed me saying I made marks on an item I was attempting to return and it was my fault. She called someone to verify on the phone in front if other customers. I have never once had this happen to me at any home depot including this one. I shopped here for ALL my indoor and outdoor needs and so did my family. I will say Dawn was very pleasant was followed return policy and told Christine that it was a product that could be returned and once Christine was told that she threw her hands up and said well you can make the call Dawn. I have spent a LOT of my hard earned money at home depot not to be treated with such disrespect. I don't know how this woman is allowed to work at the customer SERVICE department. I have never left so disgusted from a shopping experience at the home depot in Waterville. I think Christine needs a training in proper customer service skills. You don't accuse someone of damaging a product before you know and then just start making calls and stating you won't take it back before you even ask the customer about it. If she would of just waited and not jumped she would of quickly found out for Dawn that in fact it was returnable and that she had no reason to yell and accuse me of ruining a product and trying to return it. I'm not a person that returns damaged or used items and I know she dirt know that but she shouldn't just assume. That was unfair and uncalled for. She made a big scene of out of a item that was a $15 return and in return home depot has lost a very loyal customer in myself and I know will be telling my family and friends exactly how I was treated.

At the check out the cashier was very friendly, very professional, took care of me quickly but very nice...I can't remember her name but I saw the bell at the end of the register and it read if you had good service ring the bell......I did.

There are always so many new employees who are either hiding, walking somewhere else, are unavailable, or don't know anything. The employees seem more concerned with what they have to do than with helping you get what you want and get out quickly.

Store layout very familiar, made it faster finding items in a new town. Staff was helpful, cashier speedy and cheerful, and associates came to assist loading heavy items. Maybe it's a big box store, but it helps when knowledgeable staff are cheerful and efficient.

That time of year to buy a new grill. There were many selections to chose from. Person servicing grills was available immediately with no waiting in line to pay and someone was available to load our grill right away.
