Our store diverts waste from landfills by accepting lead acid batteries, rechargeable batteries, plastic plant pots, and CFLs for recycling.
Our stores sent approximately 5.3M pounds of shredded paper for recycling in 2022. This helped the planet by preserving over 63.5K trees. It kept over 16K trash bags of solid waste out of landfills, saved over 50M gallons of water, and conserved 7.8M kilowatt hours of electricity.
LED lights in your local store cut energy consumption by 98 million kilowatt hours. Many stores also participate in renewable energy initiatives like wind and solar.

Why should I get a generator?
We've got the options you need when searching for a generator for sale. Inverter generators are cleaner and quieter than traditional portable generators. They'll adjust to the required load, making more noise when they create more power. When shopping for generators for sale, don't forget that portable generators cost less and generate more electricity than inverter generators, but they're louder and heavier. For safety purposes, always run your generators outside, away from windows and doors.
Should I do siding repairs now?
Make sure your home is ready for spring temperatures swings and storms by replacing any broken parts of your home and hardscaping. If water freezes in any crevices, you could be in for a real headache. On the outside of your home, examine roof shingles or metal roof panels for damage or rust that could let water leak in. Clean gutters to prevent ice dams if you're still prone to ice storms and snow. Check bricks and cinder blocks for cracks, and verify indoor ceiling tiles are free from missing pieces and water damage. Lastly, swap out vinyl siding and chimney caps if they're damaged.
Does The Home Depot sell doorbell cameras?
Enjoy safety, peace of mind, and privacy with a wireless or wired doorbell camera. No more peeking through the peephole or an adjacent window when you can watch visitors in real time. Some doorbell cams even let you talk to whoever is on your doorstep via your phone, which is useful for delivery people or to scare off wannabe porch pirates. Several cameras integrate with your smart home hub or app to give you easy accessibility. Save video clips for future reference and worry less with more control.
