What additional precautions is The Home Depot taking in light of COVID-19?
The adjusted hours give stores the ability to staff appropriately and provide additional time to restock shelves and perform cleaning. As part of our normal practice, our stores and other facilities are cleaned and sanitized daily. Following guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), we've increased the frequency of cleaning and general hygiene maintenance in stores and other locations. We've also stepped up our efforts to disinfect high-traffic and high-touch areas like self-checkout, door handles, and bathrooms, as well as posting signage about handwashing and other preventative actions.
We're promoting social distancing in our stores and distribution centers, which includes stores limiting the number of customers inside at any given time. In addition to training our associates on social distancing, we've placed distancing markers at some of our checkout counters and are making overhead announcements on our store PA systems asking customers to practice social distancing.

We deliver curbside – order online for convenient store pickup daily until 6 p.m. Here's how:
  1. Buy Online and choose the "Store Pickup" option on the product page or in your cart.
  2. Once your order is processed, you'll receive an email or text message letting you know that it's ready to pick up.
  3. Go to designated Curbside Pickup location at The Home Depot store you selected and follow the instructions received in your email or text notification for Curbside Pickup. I had an even exchange to do and was dreading it (because at other places I've felt guilty or scrutinized for doing a return). But this was a surprisingly positive visit. I forgot my mask but the friendly lady at the front door gave me one without making me feel like a heel. The lady at the customer service desk (Kim) was very helpful. When I went to get a replacement, B.D. offered to help, but I didn't want to bother him so I declined, but when I couldn't load the box on the cart, he came to my rescue! He also went and got Luke to help me load it in my car. He was a friendly young man. I must say, I'm a very private person who doesn't care for much interaction when shopping, but each of my interactions with the four employees in the store were helpful and enjoyable. I really appreciated it. I'll come back.

I was looking to exchange an item to upgrade within the return time period. I will never shop at this location ever again. I called the night before to check inventory of a product and place it on hold to pickup the next evening. And very rudely the associate said "nope that will not happen" So I called the next afternoon to check inventory again, since I did not want to drive all that way and it being out of stock, and again they were very rude and said they will not hold the item. So I ended up going there and hoping the product was still there, and the Customer Service Associate was so rude, short and bad attitude with me the second I walked up to the desk to exchange my item. She should definitely not work in retail if she doesn't know how to be nice to customers. I walked to go check to see if the item was in stock, I only saw the floor model, so I asked a Sales Floor Associate if they could check inventory - his response was "I guess" and again they were so rude and they made me feel like a inconvenience. Well, isn't that part of their job, to help customers? We ended up purchasing the floor model of the product. I will NEVER shop at this store ever again, this is by far the worst home depot experience I have ever had.
