Paint Department Causes Nonstop Issues
This trip was to fix an unrelated issue with Behr paint (purchased at this store) that had apparently gone bad, making my entire house smell like rotten eggs. I needed paint and primer to cover it up and eliminate the odor. I asked the paint expert to mix a gallon of paint and a quart of primer. When I got home, I realized he had never mixed the gallon, forcing me to drive back to the store just to have it done. Even then, the employee didn’t apologize for the inconvenience or acknowledge that his mistake had caused me an unnecessary extra trip. To make matters worse, when I used the primer he had mixed, it was a disaster—either he didn’t tint it properly or never shook the can. Instead of a solid gray, the paint was a streaky mix of green, red, brown, and yellow. It was late, and I needed to get rid of the horrible smell in my house, so I had no choice but to continue using the primer and paint over it. I have pictures documenting this experience. At this point, buying paint at this store feels like a liability—like I’m putting myself at risk for hours or even days of rework, simply because the Home Depot paint department creates issues at every step of a project.

    Tile Department
    My wife and I have a tile theme for our kitchen backsplash and wanted to repeat it for our bathroom. Our kitchen is black and white, but we wanted a color to replace the black. We also decided to use penny tile for the floor and just replace a tile randomly here too. We went all over to find coordinating tiles. Mr. Boggs helped us find the tile. I was impressed by the the quality for the price. It will look very high quality, but within our budget.

      This store is really the worst
      I have been shopping at Home Depot for over 25yrs and this store is the worst box/dept store I have ever been in. The lumber is garbage and good luck finding what you need.

            Fraud and internal shrink
            These people are running a racket out of the store. For the average consumer, you probably don't care. For anyone who does care, avoid this store. You're likely overpaying for products that the employees didn't care enough to bother stealing themselves so that probably speaks on the deal they can provide.

              Window/ Door consult
              Let’s start with paying to get a door measurement consult. Paid the 40$ and awaited contact from the general contractor. Played phone tag for a week. I’d call back almost immediately, no answer. Leave a voicemail, no response. Happened from Monday until Friday. Finally just canceled the appointment and asked for a refund where I was told to go into the store to get my money back. Moving onto a windows consultation. I was wanting 7-9 windows replaced in my house. Made an appointment. Get a call an hour and a half before they were supposed to be there to find out they canceled. Can’t get me in until the following week. To send him a message on their personal line. No thanks Alex. I called the store and asked if there was anyone else to come get me an estimate. I talked to someone who I thought WAS going to be helpful. Told me Jon, the sales director, was going to call me in 20 minutes, which was specified multiple times. During this, I was told Home Depot is working on finding someone else to come to my house. Fast forward 2 HOURS and I received no call. Tried calling the line that I was on the phone with. Busy. I called the store and asked for Jon to call me at his convenience to talk about the situation. Still no call. I was looking into spending THOUSANDS of dollars with Home Depot on their windows and doors. But will be looking elsewhere. A complete waste of time and energy

                  RIP OFF
                  Rented rug scrubber @ 6pm for 3 hrs the rental girl said store closed @ 10pm knowing that rental part closed @ 8pm. tried to return @ 9pm store was open but rental was closed said nothing they could do had to pay for 24 hrs rental @ 8am the next morning what a RIP OFF manger even said nothing they can do

                    They would not give a 50.00.rebate.off.my new card from home depot that.i bought in store.the one I bought in store was 379.00.if.they would of give the 50.00 the mower.would of been 269.00 without tax. The rebate was only good thru 7/09/2025

                      I'm very excited to get my new purchased upright full size freezer. As I am very happy still, with the small chest freezer that I purchased in 2020 it has been very much a blessing to me and works great I have no complaints. I just needed a larger freezer.

                        Usually only one register open to maintain a slow checkout
                        PVC fittings are lower quality and higher price than my usual supply house and the store isles are so crowded with meaningless displays that 2 carts can’t pass in most places.

                          Sick and tired of going down the building materials aisles / lumber and having to navigate the aisles being used as staging areas for customer pick up orders...... the floor looks more of a backroom warehouse surely would be a fire code violation with aisles and doors being blocked

                                I purchased fencing materials based upon previous contact with a very knowledgeable staff member Jim. He took the time to compare DIY building of the fence vs purchasing in sections as well as the pricing difference. Jim also helped us determine the appropriate fencing material for our project. I'm very pleased with his assistance and am looking forward to completing the project

                                  Employee Kevin was gracious and was very helpful.
                                  Kevin took me to the proper location to get rubber grommets I needed to replace the one which was missing on my motorcycle. He even suggested using a high temperature rated glue to adhere the grommet to the frame where it gets hot while riding.

                                    If you need any help in purchasing new appliances you should come to West Broad and ask for June. She truly cares about her customers and takes time to explain every step of the delivery process. It is hard to find trustworthy customer advocates and she is the real deal.

                                      When you try to return an item and are treated like a petulant child and talked down to, it makes you really want to be that really nasty person that can be in all of us when someone gets mouthy with you. I wasn't rude and don't expect to be treated rude.

                                              Refrigerator and Dishwasher Installation.
                                              I love our new Home Depot refrigerator and dishwasher but, the delivery and especially the installation was a NIGHTMARE. The 3rd party installation company, Temco, was at best INEPT. We had 3 visits for the refrigerator and 2 for the dishwasher and it never was made right. We had to hire and pay a private plumber to make the connections and finish the job CORRECTLY. Even the most basic skills needed to finish the job was beyond Temco's capabilities. They seem to employ people off the street with no real skills. I would buy the item from Home Depot and get your own person to hook it up. Hope you have better luck than we did. Thank you.

                                                went to the west broad store to buy a dryer. had to wait 25 minutes to get any help.this store is only about 7 miles from my home,but next time i will drive about 30 to 35 miles to the sprinfield ohio store. I know that i will be able to count on great service from this store that has Josh Defranco working there.

                                                  Management makes no effort to train associates on the product they are selling.
                                                  I wanted to buy a router and the employee at the hardware/tool department told me to go to Beatbuy they do not sell electronic. The interesting thing is that Home Depot actually does sell routers for computers. He failed their too.

                                                            I shopped here tonight for a pellet grill. My shopping experience was "Red Carpet"!!! Three different employees made a special effort to help me and I walked out of the store a "very happy camper"!!! Will definitely shop this store again. Highly recommend!
